This is the way I make my tea, I call it 50/50/R\. Even my

insurance loves it and ask for it when he comes by.

I use a large empty prune juice jar for this that I have saved,

Heat up 8 tea bags. Let steep for 16 minutes.

In jar I add 4 Trivia envelopes along with 3 Tablespoons of

Sugar Free Raspberry Syrup that I get at Sams. Then add

a little water and shake to dissolve the Trivia. When tea has

finished brewing remove tea bags and add some ice cubes to

cool it down. Then pour in jar and add enough water to fill the

jar.

Next take another large and empty prune juice jar and take

a envelope of Crystal Lite Lemonade and make a jar of it.

Now you need a pitcher and measure half of the tea with

half of the lemonade togother and put it a pitcher and store in the

refrigerator.

I saved the pitcher that my Tropicana orange juice came in to use

as a pitcher for this tea. That pitcher works wonderful for the

50/50/R

Oh I call it by that name because it is half tea ~ half lemonade and

the R is for the Raspberry syrup.

Enjoy!

Schultzi

I agree, the water makes all the difference in brewing tea (and coffee).... but tea has such a delicate flavor that you can really tell. We have well water but I warn you to not run it through any kind of brewer because of the denseness of the minerals.... (unless you have a water softener).

Oh and I also use water from our RO system as there is a

difference in that water and the tap water.

Maybe it's just the Florida water. Who knows.

Schultzi

I have well water, so mine is perfect for making tea, but if you have city water/treated water, you will have a significant taste difference in your tea and coffee and any drink you make with that water. Many people have a reverse osmosis system for the best drinking water purifier. You might consider installing one on your kitchen sink to have better water all the time. They are initially somewhat expensive compared to the filter pitchers, but they are cheaper in the long run and produce much better water because of the extensive filtering process.

Edited for spelling.
