Found it after changing the wording. This looks simple but is very GOOD. Don't know why I have double post, first time was censured due to a simple word that I replace with stir to post this. You can use chicken broth for the consommé.

1 box UNCLE BEN'S® rice
1 can beef broth
1 can consomme
1 onion, chopped
1 can sliced mushrooms
1/2 stick butter

Cook at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour in a lightly greased covered pan.

I use to make it often but now it has disappeared...thinking, DD.

It had onion, sliced mushrooms, I think beef broth. Guess I could wing it. And, yes, I have spent 1/2 hour with Google and nothing is like it.

This would be something I would like. I just need some clarification. Am I correct in thinking you use wild rice?

OKAY, you ladies will never believe me again. I found my original recipe. And this is it. I will never lose it again. I made it last night for Thanksgiving. I will bake it tomorrow. It is so good. Yet so simple.

I used beef concentrate and made my own beef broth. So used 10oz. of broth and water.

Wild Rice and Herbs Casserole

1 box of Uncle Ben's long grain & wild rice with herbs.

Brown rice in 3/4 stick of butter.

Add 1 large onion chopped.

Place in large dish, add 1 Can beef broth, 1 can of water and 1 4oz can of mushrooms.

Stir every 1/2 hour and bake at 325 for 1 1/2 hours.

May need to add 1/2 C water if it gets too dry.
