Thanks for sharing, Ane! I will give this a try. Our local Ruby Tuesday doesn't offer these like they used to. Sometimes they have them and other times they don't. The last time they brought them to our table there was one really small bite-size biscuit for each of us. When I try it, I'm going to make them super size.

Red Lobster has a mix out now at Walmart,they are easy and good.

I wonder what the veg oil is for. It doesn't address that in the recipe. Personally, I would not put veg oil in the biscuits, but they DO need butter in them.

The veg oil doesn't go in the biscuits. The recipe says the oil is for the pan -- I presume to keep the biscuits from sticking: ""...place scoops of dough onto a lightly oiled baking pan."" I prefer to use parchment.

I have never had the Ruby Tuesday biscuits, but have been making the Red Lobster biscuits for ump teen years, and sometimes make them with beer for a change up, and have never had a bad review yet........
