Parmesan Peas

I've had this recipe in my paper files for years, but decided it is time to put it in my computer files, so am posting it here for any interest it might attract; it looks so simple and yet so good. Rosauer's is a great supermarket chain in Spokane, and probably elsewhere in Washington State.

Rosauer’s Parmesan Peas

(2) 10-oz pkg frozen peas, thawed
3-0z can sliced mushrooms, drained
1/2 c grated Parmesan cheese
1/3 c butter, melted
1/4 c chopped onion
1/4 c chopped parsley
1/2 t salt
1/4 t pepper

Preheat oven to 350 deg F. Combine all ingredients in oven casserole; stir gently to mix. Cover and bake 25-30 min or until peas are tender. Serves 4-6

To microwave: follow above directions except do not thaw peas. Cover and microwave on high 15-17 min, breaking peas apart halfway through cooking. If your microwave doesn’t have a turntable, turn the dish periodically.

Rosauer’s
Spokane, WA

l COULD SEE ME TRYING TO COOK THAT DISH. iT DOES SOUND DIVINE .I swore if I left home I would never step foot into a kitchen again. To this day I detest that room In all these years I have tried and the memory of MaMa making me cook all day is a nightmare. I admire the girls who keep recipes yes, but I would freeze at the fear of any of that.

Love to all and it does sound wonderful
