I caught the tail end of him making onion dip with a secret ingredient. It looked like it had seeds, like caraway. David couldn't guess the ingredient and Jan said it was caramelized Vadalia onions and tofu. I couldn't find it printed anywhere. I would like to try it. I will just caramelize sliced Vadalia, then process it with tofu. (If it doesn't taste good I will throw in some sour cream and cream cheese

Hi philogirl…did you ever find out what was in the Onion Dip that Bob made for David using the Ninja? I have the Vadalia onions and the tofu but was wondering if there was anything else in it.

Hi Sealie, I searched again and found this on Ninjakitchen.com. Tons of recipes! I think this is it because it has pepper and I saw black dots in his recipe: French Onion Dip 1 T. veg. oil 1 med. yellow onion 1/2 t. salt and 1/4 t. pepper Sauté 6-8 minutes until caramelized Add 1 T malt vinegar for 1 minute Cool and process with 1/2 c. firm tofu 4oz fat free cream cheese 1/3 c. fat free sour cream
