I think I'm probably one of two people in the country who hates cream cheese. Also cottage cheese, mayo, sour cream, regular cream and milk.

Hot Bean Dish

8 slices bacon or ½ jar bacon bits

15oz can each: kidney, lima, butter beans rinsed/drained

½ cup brown sugar;

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

2 tsp chopped pepper;

¼ cup chopped onion

½ cup catsup;

1 tsp mustard

¼ to ½ block cream cheese cubed.

Brown onion/bacon. Combine all except cheese in casserole dish. Bake uncovered at 350 for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, add cream cheese and return to oven for 10 more minutes.

Sometimes I find I need more liquid and add a bit of water.

Add it to any dish to add richness and creaminess, eggs, chili, pasta dishes- I LOVE cream cheese. My favorite breakfast or lunch is toast with cream cheese and a thick slice of fresh tomato (even better on a bagel)! The cream cheese and tomato kind of merge together- TRY IT since it's tomato season!

Found another recipe I want to try -

Neiman Marcus' Million Dollar Dip

1/2 cup slivered almonds

8 slices bacon

1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1 cup mayonnaise

1 (8-ounce) package shredded cheddar cheese (about 2 cups)

4 green onions, sliced thin and divided

1 pinch cayenne pepper

Toast the slivered almonds in a pan over medium heat until golden brown. Let cool. Cook the bacon until extra crispy. Drain the bacon and let cool before chopping into bits.

Combine the softened cream cheese and mayonnaise in a bowl and mix until smooth. Stir in the package of shredded cheese, bacon bits, 3 of the green onions, slivered almonds, and the pinch of cayenne pepper. Mix until combined. Top with the additional green onion.

Wrap the bowl in plastic wrap or cover with a lid and let chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour. I recommend serving the dip with some sort of buttery cracker, but raw veggies would be nice too.
