A little boy was sitting down to have dinner with his Mom and Dad. The boy picked up his fork and was about to start eating when his Dad looked at him in surprise. The Dad said to his son..'Well Son, don't you think you'd better say a prayer?" The boy just looked at his Dad with confusion saying "Why Dad????? Mom is a GREAT cook!!!"

Hungry Boy's Casserole

Saute in a large skillet:

1 1/2 pounds ground beef

1 cup celery...sliced

1 cup carrots...diced

1/4 cup onions...chopped

1 clove garlic (optional)

Simmer together while preparing biscuit dough:

3/4 cup catsup

3/4 cup water

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1 1 pound can pork and beans

1 1 pound can kidney beans OR lima beans

Biscuit Dough:

2 cups sifted flour

3 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

4 tablespoons COLD crisco

3/4 cup milk

To make the biscuits, Sift the dry ingredients together and then cut in the crisco.
