This morning I made a large batch of roasted vegetables lining the pans with parchment paper. I've never used parchment paper before when I've roasted vegetables but feeling lazy I thought it would help with the clean up and it did. However, the vegetables were stuck to the paper and I had to peel them off individually. Luckily they came out fine, but what a chore peeling the vegetables from the paper. Do you use parchment paper for this? What did I do wrong?

I made my own recipe for veggies using sliced yellow squash, zuchinni, onions, mushrooms, grape tomatoes and diced red peppers and preseasoned with garlic powder,Mrs Dash but I saute them in Olive oil. I used parchment paper for my baked walnut recipe but I spread the paper with margerine or olive oil and they don't stick You might try that. Hope that helps

It might depend on how high your heat was........Parchment paper ratings are from 420 degrees to 450 degrees. Assuming since you are roasting veggies, that you used some oil on the veggies first.

I've always used Parchment paper. I put my veggies in a plastic bag with oil and "smush" around until they all have some oil on them. Never had any stick.

I never roast over 400 degrees. Since veggies don't get have to get done, you can eat them raw, just cook them to the stage you like. I like some al dente and some cooked longer. I use the oil, then Garlic pepper, salt and a little thyme. Can eat them like candy.

I usually cook Broccoli, Cauliflower (frozen) and carrots together. Zucchini and squash together. Okra by itself.

I keep a bowl or 2 of roasted veggies all the time!

I love roasted vegetables.

I have to add onions to most all my roasted veggie combos. yum.

I use a noncoated (not nonstick) cookie sheet which I coat with oil. I pour a little olive oil or avocado oil on it and smear all around with my hand then I douse my veggies with olive oil and seasoning and then cook at 400-425.

I like them a little more well done so the natural sugars caramelize a little.

Sometimes they stick to the pan a little but not enough to bother me because a good soak in water and it comes clean.

I use parchment paper for roasting almost all of the time because it's compostable vs foil. I've never had a problem with sticking to paper. I do sometimes spray the paper lightly so I can use less olive oil... but I can't say I have a consistent method.

I also buy the cheap store brand parchment paper because I am cheap. 😀

No, I do not use parchment when roasting vegetables. I toss them with oil and seasonings before putting them on the baking sheet. I want the flavor to stay with the veggies, not get soaked into the parchment.
