They are not a cross with tangerines. Maybe she meant nectarines. I don't know if that's the case. At any rate, all peaches taste better when they soften. When you bring peaches home, you should let them sit out on the table or counter until you start to smell them. Then they are ready. They will be softer and sweeter. I turn mine each day.

I went to the farm stand here in town and they had these. The stand owner said they've no idea what they are, but they taste SO good. Inside they're white and the longer they sit out and soften, the better they are. She thinks it was a fluke in the crop area & mixing with tangerines (her words). I bought the rest of them and I'm waiting patiently to eat them or give to anyone who asks. Here's a pic, let me know if you've had them & what they are ☺️

Thank you & I can't wait to tell her it's nectarines. My goodness these are so good. I took your advice and turned them all over so thank you! She did say bc she has no idea what or how she got them that this is a one & done.

What is this? Unlike yellow peaches, which have a tangy and sweet flavor, white peaches are less acidic and have a milder taste. They are great in a wide variety of both sweet and savory recipes.May 22, 2023

The peaches pictured are called Saturn peaches and are delicious!! We eat them, skin and all--usually not a fan of eating fuzzy skin but these are really good. They are pricey--I think I paid over $5 a lb at our local farmers market and got 4. I just wash them before eating---really sweet and juicy.

Enjoy your peaches. YUM!

Just bought 2 cases of Cunningham Peaches from Palisade, Co. I ate 4 yesterday. So far I have 4 gallon bags full in the freezer. I need to cut up another 2 gallon bags. DH is going to make some more peach crisp. We are also going to make homemade peach ice cream.
