Anyone know how much time and if water amount is the same as on top of the stove?

I'd like to try it without making a big mess.

Here you go! This is a recipe that I have rewritten in Google documents, so don't be worried about clicking on the link. It shouldn't get poofed, because there is no advertisement.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1tYGzNisMglR2ZGvU8urWAHz6YJqt1b7LMh-BHEtkSLA/edit

I've been cooking rice in the microwave for years. It's easy and comes out perfectly.
I use Uncle Ben's rice and follow box directions. About 30 minutes total. Five minutes on high and 20 to 25 on medium power. Covered. When done, poke a hole in the covering with a fork. IT'S HOT! Stand back. Then carefully peel off the wrap. The second cooking time may fluctuate depending on the age and power of your microwave. Never go back to stove top cooking of rice!

I have used the cauliflower rice at Costco for a couple of years. Now they have a cauliflower fried rice that is great. The big bag cones with four smaller bags inside...I have added some extra red peppers and some coconut aminos to it and DH and I both like it.

Also has other additives that add sodium and sugar....
