My Super Bowl Party & Menu 🏈

We are hosting a medium sized party next Sunday. A collaboration with Friends & Family.

Looking forward to RiRi's Halftime & delicious food/beverages 😍

Our Menu is based on TACO/NACHOS BAR

Taco seasoned ground beef
Grilled Chicken (sliced)
Tortillas
Salsa
Guacamole
Sour Cream
Pinto Beans
Chopped Red Onion
Shredded Cheese
Shredded Lettuce
Lime Slices

Chips

Queso Dip

Ice Cream

Margaritas

Top Shelf Tequila (shots)

Beer

Wine

Soft Drinks & Water

What do you use to keep hot dishes hot and cold dishes cold?

That sounds like so much fun! I hope everyone enjoys. It's just me and DH for the big game this year so we are planning lamb chops, sweet potatoes and green beans. Nothing tailgatey.......oh well, it'll still be a fun time

@Snowpuppy - yes, a buffet style, serve yourself. We will have several crockpots to keep the hot dishes warm. I have several mini crockpots that are perfect for dips

The cold items will be in serving bowls that we will replenish from the larger quantities kept in refrigerator.

And an ice chest filled with ice/drinks. Margaritas will be made from scratch by our 'volunteer' mixologist. He's also bringing top shelf Tequila 😀

@kittyloo - thank you! There will be kids, so we wanted something they would like and they can make their own tacos/nachos per their own selections.

And I want to relax and have fun too, nothing that needs 'supervision'

I'm not a football fan either but I know a delicious menu when I see one!

So smart to have something the kids can made themselves and make just what they like.

I hope you all have a lot of fun. You seem like a gracious and thoughtful hostess.

I pretty much use Ree Drmmond's :

Very versitile to how you like it

3 yellow or red onions

12 or so plum tomatoes

2 cups fresh cilantro

2 or 3 jalepeno peppers

1 juicy lime

Salt

Dice tomato and onion

chop cilantro ( i like mine very finely chopped)

I slice peppers lengthwise and take membrane and seeds out. Leave some in if you want it hot. I finely dice jalepenos.

Cut lime in half and juice all of it. Salt to taste.

Refrigerate an hour and taste and adjust to your taste.

I like Pico's freshness for those watching sugar and adding to things i use ut with salsa too and cheese. May a big batch and you can use to flavor your guac.

My favorite Queso Dip (adjust milk amount according to desired texture) comes from the back of a bag of tortilla chips:

1 tbsp vegetable oil

1/4 cup chopped onion

1 chopped jalapeno

12 oz shredded American cheese

4 oz shredded Monterey Jack

1/2 cup milk

1 plum tomato, chopped

Saute onion and jalapeno in oil in saucepan until tender

Whisk in cheeses and 1/4 cup milk over low heat until melted.

Stir in tomato and rest of milk.
