Thyme For Fun!

Hi friends! My dear friend Britbrit13 and myself wanted to try something new that EVERYONE can play..we encourage all to join in! We hope you keep the going! Put on your thinking caps!

Rules of the game:

Using the alphabet give either a food, a cooking tool, a way to prepare food or a cooking term.

As an example say the letter is B..you could use Bagel, Blender, Broil, Baste.

When you get to X, Y and Z...if you get stumped just go back to the letter A!

Good morning and Happy New Year!! Wow .... what a night .... I'm in a fog right now (can't imagine why ...) ... I still managed to make breakfast this morning ... a little late, and very simple .... I hope you girls don't mind. Pancakes/waffles, fresh fruit, coffee/tea and juice.

Happy New Year ~ Sorry I'm late, but the cats that own me just had to be fed ON TIME this morning. Yes, we did create a spectacular show especially bigkat's pyrotechnics on Queen Air - flying around and around the ball! FHG, you captured me and Tootie so well. Too bad it was too cold for some of Tootie's bellyflops. bigkat, special thanks for my pyro knee bandage - it was fabulous! We sure showed those New Yorker's a thing or two about putting a bang in NYE! Breakfast, as usual, was wonderful. Thanks Tootie! QM will be very proud of her daughter and her friends when she views the video NY will never be the same.

Hi kittyfan and Happy New Year to you too!! I was just watching our local news and they were showing the fireworks from the New Year in Dubai .... they were amazing!! They were actually shooting out from the sides of the building .... bigkat ... did you have anything to do with that?? walker ... they are predciting snow for the next couple of days and it is going to be bitter cold ... 8 degrees tonight ... high of 11 tomorrow .... I hear you when you say it's going to be a loooong winter. Way tooooo much snow so early in the season ....

Good morning .... Woke up to a cold 10 degrees!! DH went out early to get the shoveling done ... about 6 inches worth .... it is supposed to keep snowing all day and into tomorrow! A nice warm place for our FF sounds great!!

We are in a Code Blue, which means since it is sooo cold, we have two local missions that open their doors up for the homeless, so they have someplace warm to go and something warm to eat!!

I'm going to tackle taking down the rest of the decorations today ....

Good morning! Kathy, you are up early and I have been vacillating about Sycamore Row and am really leaning towards it. I am now into Jeffrey Archer and am loving his books. Nice to see you kittyfan. I am so glad I am not where you are Tootie!!! We will be 50 today - a heat wave compared to you! I agree, someplace warm would be nice for our next FF. Tomorrow or do we need to recuperate? Good Morning from a VERY snowy Chicago! Today we have lake effect......think we are at about 12" now.......enough already! Tootie, guess you are getting the same stuff. Next week our temps will be below zero too! THINK SPRING! Queen Air definitely grounded for now. Kathy, I have a recipe called Burgundy Stew......made in oven about four hours....could do in crock pot......will post if you want.....beef, celery, onions, mushrooms, potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, wine..........U.......Ugly Weather! Good morning and I did not say Happy New Year yet!!! (except after our show in NYC!!) I really needed a day of rest yesterday. I must say I did a pretty good job on the fireworks. QA did help me get to where I needed to at the right timing, and thank you all for helping with the blow torches...no burnt hair this time!!

Yes, Tootie, I think we took the show. Miley didn't sound too well, she had a sad year.

Brrrrr .... it is brutally cold out there!! I just came in from shoveling ... I don't know why I bothered because by the time I got to the end of the driveway ... I could have started all over again!! It is still snowing and is very windy .... keeps blowing right back into the driveway ... ugh!! I guess my DH can clear it later on tonight with the snowblower ....
