HOW TO USE YOGURT IN PLACE OF MILK....possible?

I don't usually have whole milk ( or any milk in the house), but sometimes a recipe will call for just a bit of milk (not as much as a 1/2 or 1 cup ), and I always have yogurt on hand. This is for baking deserts. Can I use the plain yogurt as an substitute? Or do I need to add water or?

Not sure how yoghurt could substitute for milk, but it will be interesting to see other posters' suggestions.

For baking and needing small amounts of milk, my sister stops at a local burger place and orders a child-size container of milk.

Sometimes costs more than buying a larger amount at the grocery store, but there's no waste. Works for her.

I have powdered milk on hand and make the amount needed.

@Flatbush if plain yogurt use equal amount. if greek yogurt thin with water.
