One more recipe for you. This makes a lot (approx. 16 servings).....easy and good. I did not add hot pepper sauce. Taste of Home recipe from Farmhouse Favorites Cookbook.

Slow-Cooked Beans

4 cans (15 1/2 oz each) Great Northern Beans,

rinse and drain

4 cans (15 oz each) black beans, rinse and drain

2 cans (15 oz each) butter beans, rinse and drain

2 1/4 cups barbecue sauce

2 1/4 cups salsa

3/4 cup brown sugar

1/2 to 1 tsp. hot pepper sauce

In large slow cooker, gently combine all ingredients. Cook, covered, on low until heated through, about 2 hours.

Wonder if there was a lot of brown sugar in the beans you liked. My recipe calls for brown sugar, but also for some cider vinegar to make them tangy and not so sweet.
