    <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;I like to use panko crumbs in many things and thought just this morning about adding them to meatloaf.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;But I really want&amp;nbsp; the Kikkoman brand, which is sold out lately every time I've looked, including today at Publix.&amp;nbsp; My supply is down to only a little left.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;They had other types, but I want what I want, and nothing else will do.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;Considering the lively meatloaf discussion that began here earlier, thought maybe we coulld have a separate thread about the dish&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;Over the years, I've saved about 25 recipes for meatloaf from many different sources, even though I don't make it these days, because DH likes his beef made more simply.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;Just dragged out the file and saw all these possible add-ins to meatloaf......which make me want to make some, regardless of what DH wants!&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;Packet of dry onion soup mix&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;Packet of Ranch Dressing mix&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;Sour cream and soft bread crumbs mixed with the meat&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;chopped onion and green pepper&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;chopped red pepper&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;red pepper flakes&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;A-1&amp;nbsp; Steak Sauce mixed with Stove Top stuffing mix&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;And of course, possible toppings such as bacon and/or cheese slices,&amp;nbsp; ketchup/mustard/brown sugar/Worcestershire sauce.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;Any other ideas out there?&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;One creative way to bake meatloaf that I saw years ago was to pack the meat mixture into a Bundt pan&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My recipe: &amp;nbsp;Good quality ground been, preferably 85/15 or so, and some good &lt;STRONG&gt;thick&lt;/STRONG&gt; tomato salsa--not the watery kind. &amp;nbsp;Pour a little salsa in, mix with meat, put in a pan and bake. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you want it hotter, add spice or hot sauce. &amp;nbsp;Pour a little ketchup on top before it is completely done and bake some more.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;NO bread crumbs, eggs, etc. &amp;nbsp;Salsa will have what you need. &amp;nbsp;You don't want it wet with salsa, but just mix in a good ratio to make the meat cohesive meatloaf texture.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;My meatloaf comes from Ann Landers many years ago.&amp;nbsp; She added Lipton onion soup, one package for 2 lbs of ground beef.&amp;nbsp; My only "must" is Panko bread crumbs.&amp;nbsp; If I run out and use crackers or bread it just doesn't taste the same.&amp;nbsp; Another "must" is mix it by hand, not an electric mixer.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I bake my meatloaf in a regular baking dish vs. a meatloaf pan. I like to use diced onion &amp;amp; green pepper, soft breadcrumbs with milk, powdered marjoram and 1 egg for each pound of ground beef. Form it into a loaf in the pan, then coat with BBQ sauce. Bake at 350 until the internal temperature is 160.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My recipe is very simple&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1 lb leanest ground beef you can buy...or ground sirloin&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;chop 1-2 onions, add worcheshire sauce and microwave to soften onions and let cool.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1 beaten egg&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;panko bread crumbs&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;cheese: cheddar w/swiss or some parmesian&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;maybe a dash of A1&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Sprinkle some parmesan on top and bake for an hour at 350 degrees.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;My 10 yr old GD is becoming quite a good cook. &amp;nbsp;They visited us last week &amp;amp; I must say I got spoiled.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;One of the best meatloafs I've had she made using her dads recipe. &amp;nbsp;Nothing fancy but it was moist &amp;amp; tasty. They used the regular ingredients - 1 1b. 80/20 ground beef + 1/2 lb. ground pork (here they don't sell meatloaf mix in meat dept).&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;Added ketchup, spices and panko breadcrumbs, eggs. &amp;nbsp;The topping was a mixture of worcestershire sauce, ketchup &amp;amp; panko.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;They formed it and baked on cookie sheet. No grease like in loaf pan.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;The next night she made homemade guacamole, taco bar and black bean &amp;amp; corn salsa. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;The last night she made a marinara sauce and homemade raviolis, antipasto salad and meatballs -- now, you know why I'm spoiled! &amp;nbsp;Boy, I miss my "personal" chef!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;Meatloaf is my favorite especially for sandwiches on white bread (a childhood fav!). &amp;nbsp;Spouse is a meat &amp;amp; potatoes guy so it was nice for a change.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I posted it here in 2020.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;French Meatloaf&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;2 lbs. ground beef&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;2/3 c. dry bread crumbs&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;2/3 c. chopped shallots&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;2/3 c. Gruyere cheese&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;3Tbsp. Dijon mustard&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;1/3 c. milk&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;2 tsp. thyme&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;4 eggs, hard boiled&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl, combine the first 7 ingredients. Pack 1/2 of the meatloaf mixture into a large greased loaf pan. Lay down the hard boiled eggs on top in a row lengthwise, end to end. Cover with remaining meatloaf mixture so eggs are completely covered. Bake uncovered&amp;nbsp;20 minutes. Spread 2 more Tbsp. Dijon mustard on top and bake an additional 25 minutes until done.&lt;/DIV&gt;</description>
