Cotton Candy Grapes

Am I the last person on earth to hear about these?? lol

Got my Moderna booster today and went to a grocery store after that that I have never been in before. Found these grapes. Oh my. They are delicious. They really do taste like cotton candy.

I put some in the freezer. We like frozen grapes to pick on. Just the regular green frozen grapes taste like sherbet. But these? Beyond delicious.

@Queen of shop i discovered these grapes not too long ago. i can only taste the cotton candy flavor in the very first one each time. i have not tried them frozen.

@Queen of shop - I discovered these last year at Sam's Club and we loved them. Haven't seen them since but, now that you've mentioned them, I'll be on the lookout.

I bought them a few years ago. We didn't care for them. They were not sweet or tasty.

Maybe we got a bad batch.

Thanks @grandma r I'll look for the Ambrosia apples. I've been in love with Honey Crisp for a few years now but I like to try new things. I remember way back in the High School cafeteria they sold Wine Sap apples. Really nice flavor. Can't seem to find them anymore.

I heard some talk about them on here last year. I saw them at Aldi earlier this fall, before Halloween, and thought I would try them. They did have a different, very sweet flavor. I think I prefer regular grapes for their little bit of tart.

Both Sam's and Costco carry the Cotton Candy but the season seems very short lived. I like to juice them.

I bought some today called Candy Snaps. Says they have the flavor of stawberry and the snap of a grape. Wonder if that's the same thing as the cotton candy ones.

I'm not a fan of cotton candy, either, but the grapes are nice. Pretty sweet, though, so I can see how some might not love them.

Hi @ECBG . They are green like regular grapes. You just have to look for the name "Cotton Candy " grapes. They are really good and do taste like cotton candy. Yummy.

I did some research and they are grown with a concord grape spliced into the regular green ones vine. Concord grapes have a very high sugar content so I guess that's where the flavor comes from.

I hope you can find some just to try.

I have some in the freezer now for my nightly sweet all this week leading up to Thanksgiving. I adjust my diet 7 days before a major holiday/food fest and give up sugar. Frozen grapes is a big help when I need a little something after dinner and I am abstaining from ice cream. Will eat a handful starting tonight.
