anyone ever made japanese ika salad?

My new obsession is ika salad. It's at the local sushi place.

Seems simple. Boiled marinated squid, pickled ginger sesame oil and sugar. On top of the intense deliciousness it's low carb,and calorie. Don't know what or where the marinade is, or what type of squid to buy.

Anyone help?

Many families have slightly differing variations of sauces and things. While I'm not sure of the proportion, my mother uses the following ingredients for her:

Rice Vinegar

Soy Sauce

Sesame Oil

Sugar
