Most Often Used Spice

As I fixed dinner tonight and reached for spices it made me think......what spices do you use most often? (Aside from salt and pepper). For me....it seems Lemon-Pepper Seasoning and Italian Seasoning....also, garlic salt.

Walker, I don't know how I missed this!

With most things that involve what my kids will be eating, I'm with you on the Lemon Pepper and Italian Seasoning and also Cinnamon.

I have many Penzeys blends that I use, but I find I empty my oregano, basil, roasted cumin, chili powder, granulated garlic and granulated onion the fastest. (love to buy larger bags from Penzeys to fill my glass jars)

They have a website you can order from; just do a Google search and it should come up.

They also have stores in some cities. (I'm lucky because we have one!)

I LOVE all of their spices. And they are reasonably priced.

Garlic, basil, oregano, and cinnamon are the ones I reach for most often.

Walker, make sure you get on their mailing list. It is fun to get their catalogs through out the year. They have recipes in there and on line too. They usually have a great coupon also.

I like the garlic spices. Today, I'm hunting up spices used to make S.W. type of recipes. I want to try a couple possibly, but I need to be sure that I have all spices.

Most often I grab for the Penzeys Shallot pepper, Tuscan Sunset, Fox Point or Spicy 4/s (special seasoned sea salt). I like everything I've gotten from Penzeys.

Qualitygal, I think Penzey's has southwest blends. Look at descriptions. I reach for the garlic in many forms...fresh, dried, powder, salt, minced. I use a lot!

I also love Lowry's Seasoned Salt. I started using it decades ago, and still like it. It perks up scrambled eggs, hamburgers and casseroles.

I buy mostly Penzey's spices.

I use cinnamon and vanilla a great deal myself. I also like Lowry's. I'm not big on seasonings with a lot of onion or too much garlic. I love garlic, but I don't like pure garlic powder or garlic salt.
