Woven Pretzel Dogs

WOVEN PRETZEL DOGS

I saw this and thought what a fun thing to make for my Grandson! So simple!

1 can (11 oz) Pillsbury™ refrigerated French bread

8 hot dogs

1 tablespoon butter, melted (more if needed)

Coarse salt

Ketchup or mustard for serving

Preheat oven to 375°F. Roll out Pillsbury™ French bread on a lightly floured surface into a long rectangle at least 14 inches long and 8-10 inches wide. Use a sharp knife to cut the dough into seven long strips. When all the hot dogs are woven into the dough ,brush with melted butter and sprinkle with coarse salt to give the bread a pretzel taste .Bake the weave at 375°F for 25 minutes until it's perfectly browned.

@LilBitMissty What a neat idea--so creative, yet easy. Thank you for sharing this with us. Of course, now I'm craving a frankfurter. I do hav homemade macaroni salad made this morning in the refrigerator.

Thanks for this idea! It looks good and easy, has lots of eye appeal, and is just a great idea for something different at dinner! I will be trying this out.
