It's still well over 100 degrees here so if I wait till fall for goodies I'll be waiting until Thanksgiving. So I went ahead and made pumpkin chocolate chip cookies last week.

Made oatmeal cookies with raisins and chocolate ships so with a bit of cinnamon in them I am goingto say it smells a bit like fall in our home too.

Everything sounds so good. I haven't given much thought to baking. I will be making an apple & cinnamon breakfast dish that was mentioned on the boards. It's made with Pillsbury cinnamon rolls, apple pie filling and chopped nuts. Don't think I can mess up a three ingredient recipe.

I've been mixing in apple sauce and cinnamon into my quick microwave biscuits lately. And a few weeks ago I made a sweet potato/blackbean soup.

Fall and fall food are my absolute favorite. But this week I guess I am doing my last summer Hurrah. Last Sat., Walmart shopping they had a family size vanilla pound/loaf cake that expired that day on sale for $1.88. Sat. night is my once per week only one slice of pizza so I thought Strawberry shortcake. Sliced up the loaf and put in the freezer with the cool whip and frozen strawberries I bought. Every night since Sat. I have a bit. Not sick of yet. But pumpkin and apples are on my mind.

Good smells, good tastes at your house. My house smells like Fall too but it's the Cranberry Spice wax melts I'm using.

@Texas Gray Wolf start with two tubes of cinnamon rolls (I bought Pillsbury) and cut each roll in quarters. Mix those with a can of apple pie filling and 1/2 cup chopped nuts. I plan to put the mixture in one of Tara's bakers. The recipe calls for it to be baked at 350 for 45 minutes. When it comes out of the oven, frost with icing that comes with the rolls. Now, I haven't tried this yet, so I'm a little leery about the bake time. I'll watch them, and may discover they don't need 45 minutes to bake.

I bought a can of pumpkin yesterday and decided to make pumpkin bread tomorrow. I found Jane Treacy's recipe using the search function here. I love those rolled pumpkin breads but don't think I'm savvy enough to try it! LOL!

Fall smells at our house too. We're making homemade apple butter in the crock pot. Delicious with Macintosh and Gala apples and all those spices.

It was a rainy day here yesterday and I made my second pot of soup for the fall season. I have 12 individual servings of two different kinds of soup frozen. I had a bowl of homemade soup and a muffin for lunch.
