Good comparisons if all types of gloyrscsnd the ideal uses for each:

https://www.delish.com/cooking/a32057297/what-is-bread-flour/

https://joythebaker.com/2014/05/baking-101-the-difference-between-baking-flours/

There are many more articles discussing this. Google gave up many. I suggest when you order flour from a shopping service, you specify "no substitutes" so you don't get someone else's idea of your baking needs.

Self-rising flour is a combination of all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.

Bread flour does not contain baking powder or salt. It is also higher in protein. I would not substitue self-rising flour for bread flour in a recipe.

I use self-rising flour for my biscuits, pancakes, and corn fritters. It's typically a softer flour because of the recipes you use it in, so it's not a great substitute for bread flour. The big issue in using it in place of all-purpose flour is the salt. You'll want to leave the salt out of the recipe if you try to substitute. And if the recipe doesn't call for a leavener, the baking powder shouldn't affect the recipe too much. A little baking powder isn't a big deal in most recipes. If you're using the self-rising flour as part of a breading the self-rising may even be better due to the baking powder.
