I forgot about this recipe until our Granddaughter asked that I make it for our Sunday dinner. My search ended today when I finally found the recipe again on a scrap of paper tucked inside a cookbook. My hesitation in posting is because of formatting difficulties, but I am posting because I think it is that good, and different from others. I received it from a friend who got it from her Southern Mother several years ago. I hope you try it. It makes our Thanksgiving table every year. .......2 pkgs. Green Giant shoe peg corn in butter sauce.......1 pint half and half, do not substitute.......1/4 cup sugar.......4 whole eggs.......1 heaping TBL flour.......1 heaping TBL soft butter.......1/2 tsp. salt.......defrost corn and use all including sauce.......beat eggs in a large bowl....add corn mixture along with rest of ingredients.......pour into a greased casserole dish (do not remember the size I use and not given in recipe, (probably smaller than 9x13),,,,,,Bake at 350 for about an hour or until set......stir after 15 minutes baking, although I have missed this step several times and stirred once during baking.
