I just used a gallon of unfiltered cider. It will be a little cloudy this way and I subbed 1/2 cup honey for brown sugar...DW

Well if it has that 190 proof Everclear in it you will get drunk. You won't taste it. LOL!!! I drank some of that at a neighbors birthday than tried to walk home.

I remember drinking Purple Passion when I was a teenager. We also mixed the Everclear with lemonade. Can you say YUM!!!

Oh, my, Everclear ! That’s a blast from the past - haven’t thought of that in years but this recipe looks good, may have to try it. Sounds like it might be good for our upcoming fall hayride.

I made 11 pints. Now to let it set for a couple weeks before tasting. A shot of this on a cold winters night warms you right up ...lol....we don’t drink this all ourselves....I put a bow on a jar and give them away as Christmas presents..with a plate of cookies...DW

@dancingwoman. @It would make a wonderful gift. I'd like to taste it but not enough to make 11 pints. At your altitude you'd have to be careful to not over-indulge. Do you have a big pressure cooker?

@Kachina624 I just have the 6qt Instant Pot. The alcohol isn’t put in till after the mixture cools down so there is just enough room in the 6qt to cook the cider and sugars...

Yeah you do have to be careful drinking it...it’s pretty tasty... DW
