I am so impressed with her - she's forgotten more about baking than I ever knew. Putting some dough on the blue berries so they won't sink when added to the batter. Who knew?

She's so much more ..........than the previous KA lady....and I liked Laura a lot.

I've not heard of putting dough on berries to keep them from sinking in batter, but I know that mixing a little flour with berries keeps them from sinking in a batter. So, if you don't have dough handy, try flour.

Berries & dough = to clarify - she was mixing the batter - so she had the batter in the KA mixing bowl - but rolled the berries in a side dish of batter first (same batter) before dropping them in the mix.

But your idea about flour is a great one too.

I would have just dumped berries in - as is - not knowing any better. LOL
