Meredith Lawrence last day

They said Merediths last day would be at Noon on ITKWD. Supposedly an announcement will be made. Does anyone have any scoops on this ? I'm wondering if David announces that Bob Warden will return as vendor for Cooks Essentials.

I will miss her too. One of the few sane ones on the show.

I will also miss her cooking demonstrations that were on air Christmas day last year....

Meredith announced this on her Facebook page a couple of weeks ago.

If I recall, she said she's going back to teaching.

Which is what she was doing at QVC so.....?

As QVC has gotten away from jewelry, I think they are going from cooking equipment to delivered food, so therefore no longer need someone like Meredity.

And she doesn't fit the happy dance profile, she is better at instruction. She may show up on food network. Oh no, that's about game shows not cooking . . .

Fishy? I agree. Several times ML was on with David for a short time - and what was an excellent cook doing?................standing while DV explained the COLORS of that 4 foot wire rack ! Red, Green - you know the routine. ML looked so 'down'....she wasn't required to do anything except stand there. There was NO cooking being done on that particular show - I really paid attention.

Don't blame her for 'throwing in the towel'.

Sign on to her Facebook and Website. She does a cooking demo every Thursday at 6 ET. She is talented and will most likely appear on the Q when she publishes a new cookbook.

@KatieB She has a facebook cooking class every week, and will send emails with recipes, etc. if you sign up for that.

It's possible they are going to expand their celebrity chef lines, like HSN does, and so they don't need all these cooks in the kitchen (pun intended ;o)

My reaction to her comments on air, and in her video announcement, is that she seems to be happily moving forward to a platform that's better for her and that's more a reflection of the way she wants to teach and offer help and recommendations. With this, she has her own "cooking school" and it has a warm and welcoming feel.

For those who don't want to interact with Facebook, she has a lovely, well-designed website.

It's easy to find by searching for "Blue Jean Chef" or "Meredith Laurence" and the website offers an email sign-up for news, annoucements, info, etc.

The replacement or rather replacements aren't Bon Warden. They are Shereen Palivdes and Natalie Bazinet Locketz. Both are chefs.

There's nothing "fishy" about her departure; she let people know three weeks in advance that she was planning to quit at the end of the year to return to teaching and more direct interaction with the people who follow her on social media.
