      <description>&lt;P&gt;This Loaded Baked Potato Soup from&amp;nbsp;&lt;EM&gt;Cook's Country&lt;/EM&gt; is one of my favorites:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;8 slices chopped bacon&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2 onions, chopped&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2 tsp minced garlic&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1/2 tsp dried thyme&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;5 1/2 cups chicken broth&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3 lbs red potatoes, peeled and sliced 1/2-inch thick&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2 cups shredded extra-sharp cheddar cheese&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1 cup cream&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1/4 cup minced chives&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Fry bacon in large saucepan over medium heat until crispy.&amp;nbsp; Drain on paper towel and refrigerate.&amp;nbsp; Pour out fat, leaving 2 tbsp in pot.&amp;nbsp; Fry onions in pot until lightly browned.&amp;nbsp; Stir in garlic and thyme for 30 seconds.&amp;nbsp; Add broth, scraping up browned bits.&amp;nbsp; Bring to boil over high heat.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Mix potatoes and 1 1/2 tsp salt in slow cooker.&amp;nbsp; Stir in hot broth.&amp;nbsp; Cover and cook for 6 hours on high, 7 hours on low.&amp;nbsp; Puree soup with immersion blender until smooth.&amp;nbsp; Whisk in cheese to melt.&amp;nbsp; Whisk in cream, chives, and 1 tsp pepper.&amp;nbsp; Reheat bacon in microwave for 30 seconds.&amp;nbsp; Sprinkle on bowls of soup.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;This is from a very old crockpot cookbook and all the varietys of canned diced tomatoes were not available.&amp;nbsp; I use low salt diced or sometimes the spicy ones instead of stewed tomatoes.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Zesty Vegetable Beef Soup (Crock Pot)&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;1 lb ground beef&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;1⁄2 cup chopped onion&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;2 garlic cloves, minced&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;2 cups pre-shredded coleslaw mix&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;1 (10 ounce) package frozen corn&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;1 (9 ounce) package frozen cut green beans&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;4 cups spicy vegetable juice&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;1 (14 1/2 ounce) can Italian stewed tomatoes, undrained&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;1 teaspoon dried basil, crushed&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;1⁄4 teaspoon pepper&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;1. Brown ground beef and onion in a large skillet. Drain off fat.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;2. In a 3 1/2-5 quart crock pot, combine meat mixture and remaining ingredients.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;3. Cover; cook on low heat for 8 to 10 hours or on high heat for 4 to 5 hours.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.qvc.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/8229"&gt;@ceekay&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Sounds like a nice recipe.&amp;nbsp; Think it would be good for using up some&amp;nbsp;leftover roast&amp;nbsp; beef&amp;nbsp; instead of ground beef, too.&amp;nbsp; Also good for stovetop&amp;nbsp; or oven cooking, if slow cooking isn't practical.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I almost always have some Spicy Hot V-8 Juice around---low sodium version preferred if available at the store.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;beef noodle soup&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;this is not really a recipe but a formula for soup.&amp;nbsp; take beef short ribs, 1 inion, salt and papper.&amp;nbsp; place in a crockpot.&amp;nbsp; add enough beef broth and water to cover.&amp;nbsp; cook 8 hours on low.&amp;nbsp; add cooked beef noodles and serve..&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;this is my grandmother's reipe.&amp;nbsp; she cut the short rib meat into chunks and added to the bowl.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
