Different way to fix stuffing/dressing

Just happened to remember something I saw my husband's aunt do for Thanksgiving.

She formed dressing mix (probably mixed with some celery and onion, butter and broth) into little individual-serving mounds on a metal baking sheet and put the pan in the oven.

It came out being a little crusty and very good with gravy ladled on top when served.

Does anyone else do theirs this way?

Yes, my gradmother, mother and now we make our dressing this way. We call them dressing balls.

I've never heard of preparing it this way but it sounds good.

Just got a minor brainstorm that I might try.

I have a somewhat over-sized muffin tin......seems individual servings of dressing could bake quite well in that pan..

I have a simple mind. It takes a while for me to come up with simple ideas that are probably standard procedure for others. LOL!!

Yes, my dressing is in patties and baked. After we eat, it is very likely to see one of us walking around eating dressing like it’s a cookie.

we do this with leftovers the nexr couple of days. you could mix leftover mashed potatoes and dressing and bake it that way too

You could also put the dressing in a muffin tin or in buttered custard cups.

Thanks for the idea. I was just about to start making my dressing and I think I'll try this.
