      <title>CARAMELIZED ONION DIP</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;&lt;EM&gt;2 T butter&lt;BR /&gt;2 yellow onions, cut in small dice&lt;BR /&gt;Kosher salt and black pepper to taste&lt;BR /&gt;8 oz cream cheese, softened&lt;BR /&gt;1 cup sour cream&lt;BR /&gt;2 T chopped fresh chives&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;&lt;EM&gt;Melt butter in large&amp;nbsp;skillet over med heat.&amp;nbsp; Add onions, salt and pepper.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Cook until deep golden brown (about 30 minutes) stirring occasionally.&amp;nbsp; If they are browning too fast turn temp down.&amp;nbsp; Remove from heat and let cool.&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;&lt;EM&gt;In a bowl mix rest of ingredients together.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;&lt;EM&gt;Serve with vegetables or crackers.&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.qvc.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/56418"&gt;@DiAnne&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;Looks like a great easy one!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;I have a&amp;nbsp; very similar one calling for caramelizing sweet Vidalia onions in a slow-cooker overnight and using Gruyere cheese, plus some apple cider vinegar and your listed ingredients.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;I'm sure Swiss cheese would be a fair substitute for Gruyere if necessary.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;Love caramelized onions.&amp;nbsp; I make and freeze them in small quantities to serve with certain&amp;nbsp;meats.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Can't tell you where I read this but have used this a few times with great results.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;TY for this recipe! But I didn't see it until after I was looking for a hot dip to serve w/ crackers. I found a variation, modified just a tweak on my part, and it was a hit at last night's party!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The carmalelized onions, (carmalelized w/ a pinch of sugar to prevent any aftertaste) a little tub of Philadelphia cream cheese garden vegetable, pkg. of Vermont Seriously Sharp shredded cheddar, and about 1 1/2 cups of Hellman's mayonnaise.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Mix all in a bowl, transfer to a buttered baking dish -- cover &amp;amp; bake @ 325 degrees for 45 minutes.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;(I always heat the baking dish as the oven is preheating, and this prevents any sticking, then put in a pat of butter.)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
