I've been making this for years, and made one for breakfast earlier today. It's quick, easy, and very, very good (I think it was a Bake-Off winner); best of all, it has no chemicals or HFCS. I'm pretty much through buying store cakes, since the ingredients list looks like it came from a chemistry lab!

CINNAMON CHOCOLATE CHIP COFFEE CAKE

1/4 lb. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Cinnamon Sugar: 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. (I use a lot more cinnamon - about a tablespoon!)

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and vanilla. Add sour cream and blend thoroughly. Add dry ingredients. Grease and flour 13 x 9 pan. Spread 1/2 batter, 1/2 chocolate chips, and cinnamon sugar. Repeat and top with chocolate chips and cinnamon sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
