Today DH and I got up REAL early to see the Sandhill Cranes leave the water to go to the fields and eat (by way of the TV through Roku). By 7:30am we were on our way to see what migrating birds has been passing through at our local parks/lake. We saw over 100 Bald Eagles on the lake (still covered mostly with ice) and massing flocks of Franklin Gulls...LOVE them! I just think it's so cool how far they have to migrate from along the east coast of South America (mainly Peru) to areas north of us. I especially enjoy watching them fly on the thermals...not like in 'v' formations like Geese or Ducks...

FUN to watch them fly overhead!

Then we stopped at McD's for breakfast before heading home to tackle cleaning out the garage. We just completed the task and hand washed both cars...WOOT! What a thrill to get a daunting, unpleasant task completed. It is always so much nicer to work outside gardening/lawn/birding supplies, etc when the stuff we need/use isn't covered heavy in dust. cobwebs and just plain old crud.

Now it's time for dinner...making a salad and have a supreme Freshetta pizza (gonna add some extra cheese & pepperoni)...

Then relax...life is good!

A little too early here. We still have snow on the ground. Have unseasonable temps coming this week, which should melt the snow. Probably won't be doing much outside for at least another month. Your outing sounds very relaxing. I love hanging out in the garage.

We are still in deep snow and ice but the good news is we will have some above zero temps this week.

I did some spring cleaning inside already like washing down the kitchen cupboards and cleaning out some closets over the winter months. I can't wait to see the grass again and begin gardening. Feb and March have been brutal winter months here in Nova Scotia. We have had a lot of precipitation which froze so we have ice like I've never seen before.

Come on spring!!! LM

Still completely covered in snow in this part of Ohio, so no outside spring work yet.

Inside starts today. I have been cleaning closets, drawers, basement etc all winter, and usually have all the walls and curtains washed, furniture and carpets steam cleaned and done by now, but was waiting until a litter later this year because we have a graduation this spring, and I wanted the effect of all that work to be evident then. Should finish up in here just in time for the mowing to start in late April!

Not yet, with 10 foot mounds still around here I am not in the Spring mood yet. Maybe when I see a patch of green grass it will motivate me. That may not be until May and I am not exaggerating.

Okay, don't hate me, but I guess I'm the odd ball here. I'm super fussy when I clean every week, so I don't have to do any spring cleaning or fall cleaning.

I do, however, do special things like clean my windows twice a year (both inside and out) and I move my fridge and stove and clean the floor/wall behind them. And wipe down the sides and back of the fridge and stove. And I vaccum the back of the fridge where the compressor is. Other than that, nothing special is needed.

Although we had a glorious sunny, warm (30s and 40s, LOL) weekend, we still have a lot of snow on the ground in MI. I live in a condo so there is not much for me to do as far as yard work, although I can relate about getting all the gunk off the inside and outside of my car.

As far as "spring cleaning" indoors, I have two cats, so I am constantly cleaning - EVERYTHING!, EVERYWHERE!, regardless of the season. I tend to do more of an all-over clean/declutter in the Fall, after my son goes off to college and before the holidays get into full swing.
