Beware of the Sun Joe, Snow Joe, etc...products

I want to let everyone know of an experience I had with the parent company of all the items in the "Joe Product Line", which is All Seasons Power LLC based in New Jersey. I have four of their items, not all bought here but some I did buy here. Due to my recent experience, I will not be buying any more of their products from anywhere.

I had purchased a pressure washer through Amazon of his in July; when I went to use it in September for winterizing my home, etc....it never even turned on. It was past the 60 days to get my money back on my credit card or do a return on Amazon. I filed a complaint against the company with the BBB, and State of New Jersey Attorney Generals Office, as well as leaving negative reviews on Amazon, ConsumerAffairs.com, PissedConsumer.com, etc. I even sent the CEO a letter asking for my money back, as I had replaced it with a Karcher that I bought from QVC.

Now these products all were registered on the ShopJoe website immediately when I received them. They are supposed to have a two year warranty on all of them. The warranty on the pressure washer was until Oct. 2027. The company deemed it unnecessary to respond to any of my emails, ciomplaints, or letters for any support what so ever. So I want others to have to avoid the expense and frustration of a company that sells many items on QVC and elsewhere, but when it counts for customer service and support - they could care less!

why didn't u try the pressure washer when it arrived if it didn't work

it can be returned

buy the exact same new one on amazon.

return the old one.

test it out immediately.

@Blitzens. Thanks for reporting this. It's always good to know when companies are so insensitive to consumer complaints. With a 2 year warranty, you should have been covered.

@Blitzens - I don't know what state you're in, but you should file a complaint with your own State Attorney General's Office.

You should get a better response from them. In some states, their are consumer laws which cover this issue.

I've always stayed away from from Sun Joe/Snow Joe, etc. I don't know why; I just have always felt they seemed cheaply-made items. I'd rather pay more for a quality product.

I hope you manage to resolve this issue. Have you posted on the company's Facebook page? Many say that often gets a result, when all else fails.

We feel the same way about Black & Decker. They used to be a good brand, but seems like it's just a throw-away brand now.

Years ago, we had a similar experience with a Sun Joe leaf vacuum on QVC. We used it only once when the bag basically fell apart. I, too, contracted the company with no response. That was several years ago, but we will never buy another Sun Joe product. Lesson learned.

So Sorry you had issues.

Our experience has been quite different.

Between us and our kids, we have at least 8 or more different Sun Joe items and many are several years and still going strong.

Snow throwers (yes, in Buffalo snow), whackers, blowers and more.

One, we had an issue during warranty and they took care of us immediately.

They have had terrific products for us.

Thank you for sharing. I'm sorry you had to go through all this. I had my doubts about Sun Joe products. Before I shop now I will check wherever there is a review, and they were not good for Sun Joe etc..problems.

I see there are no Sun Joe, Snow Joe products listed on the Q.

Sun Joe products are 'low-end' and they are not made to last. Their products seem disposable / not repairable / throw away when they break. I'd rather spend more money on quality and on a good reputation of a brand.

And was this some time ago or recently? Many things have changed over the last few years. Just a thought!

ETA: And to @tl98466 - I'd address the same question to you. What could you or another poster have done that resulted in a resolution, that the OP hasn't done?

It makes no sense that some customers would get a satisfactory response from Snow Joe's CS and another would not. There must be an explanation.

I'm sorry that others have had trouble with Sun Joe!

I've had great luck with their products! And I own a ton of them (blowers, mini chainsaw, pole chainsaw and hedge-trimmer, sprayer, etc.) When the sprayer stopped working, they promptly provided me with a replacement! I'll continue to purchase their products! I've been most pleased!

It was about a year ago. I just called them! Had my QVC invoice and explained the problem and they sent us a new unit.....and we didn't have to return the old.

DH had bought several items direct from their website using discounts and coupons.

In general, emailing or regular mailing companies does little good. Companies get so much spam that they often just ignore those communication channels. You're better off using an 800 number (if they have one), direct contact through their website, or using social media (Twitter, Instagram, Threads, etc.) if they have accounts there. Companies tend to be more responsive to complaints lodged in those places.

There are people of questionable sanity who will spend hours each day bombarding a company they dislike with phone calls, emails, texts, and bad reviews. They'll copy, paste, and hit send, dozens, hundreds, even thousands of times a day. That's why companies are often unresponsive to emails or even snail mail. There's often an avalanche of stuff coming in that they have to sort through, with 90% or more of it often being nonsense.

I was looking at Canon cameras a while back, and every Canon camera at every site had the same copy-and-pasted review by a Canon hater. There are a lot of sites selling Canon cameras, and this reviewer hit every single one of them that I visited. As soon as one of their reviews would get taken down, they'd put up a fresh one using a different name, but the exact same wording. The guy/gal spending all of their time hating on Canon clearly had some mental health issues.

"A company needs to have enough staff to handle all of the incoming correspondence." It's impossible. Haters can send emails faster than staff can read them. The more creative types can even program bots to send messages automatically. If you open your in-box first thing and find ten thousand messages waiting for you, do you carefully read each one and respond to it? And if ten more come in for every one you read? That's what a lot of companies have to deal with. It's why many don't respond to emails. Everything goes straight to the trash bin.

I love the convenience and ease of use of all of my Sun Joe, Snow Joe, and Black & Decker cordless products.

I agree they're not high end, they're not commercial grade, they're not elite products. To me, they are decent quality for everyday home use at an affordable price. That's what I want, and that's what they give me.

I've never had the need to contact customer service, because I've never had a problem so I can't speck to that.
