Windchimes help

The flapper on my wind chimes fell off and I ran over it with the lawnmower. Any ideas to buy a new one and home make one. I love my wind chimes but they won't ring with no flapper hanging down for the wind to blow. Thanks

A drill would have to be used to put a hole in it, maybe a spoon, some type of metal object?

@gillsburg Could you contact the manufacturer of the wind chime for a replacement? I would want something that looks and works as it was supposed to.

All you need is a smooth piece of wood. Drill a hole and attach where the old one was. I much prefer the mellow sound that wood provides rather tan metal or anything else. Hope yvou can get it fixed soon. I love hearing mine.

I have teo windchimes and both clappers are wood. I think using metal would give a clinking sound rather than the resonance from the chimes you want.
