First time I ever planted dill, it's starting to seed, now what????

I wanted it for my pickles, but I don't even have flowers on my pickle plants yet, so that timing isn't working out so good.

I do have a dehydrator.

I make fresh salad dressing in the blender and add a handful of dill....a creamy dressing using a base of soaked cashews, but you might explore and find what is right for you. I also use fresh dill in my potato salad. Do you make crackers in your dehydrator....add some dill!

Enjoy and congratulations on your new crop...fresh herbs are the best!

I like to let a few heads go to seed and collect the seeds to use in pickling and other things. Then I deadhead the plants and they will keep going in almost any weather as long as you water them. The leaves (aka dill weed) can be used fresh, frozen, or dried like anyt herb. I use dill often with potatoes, seafood, and salads. Enjoy!
