think it's a personal preference unless you are tilling the soil before the raised bed is placed. If it were me, I would put it in place just because I have limited storage.

Hi all you fellow gardeners

I bought a raised bed early summer. I got it the end of June, so put just a few veggies in around July 4. The plants did prety good, considering it was planted later. I recently bought another one to put more tomatoes in next year and I want a couple of rhubarb plants. They are 8' x 2' (not sure of the depth-maybe 15" or so.) My question is, should I put the 2nd one in before winter, or should I wait til the spring?

TIA

cookin

Makes no difference - if you have more time now than in the Spring....then do it now.

I would wait until the spring...no worries about harsh weather, and you can add fresh soil when ready to plant.
