Garden Statuary

I bought a new piece for the rock wall last week. What do you think? I am glad this one has some color as it will stand out from the granite rock. I was very tempted to go bigger but the next size up is too big for two to handle.

OMG, that is beautiful. I had to do a double take. At first glance, it looked like a real person.

I saw many of these types of sculptures in the gardens in China. Enjoy him and thanks for posting.

I love everything about this picture! The shadow only adds to the ambiance. The word that comes to mind is serenity.

You have such a great eye for selecting statuary. Another lovely piece! Will he stay outside throughout the winter? I take some of mine into the garage with my potted plants and lawn furniture during the winter for protection (if I'm able to get them on the cart!).

@BirkiLady , I will keep it inside this winter until I ready a place for it in the Spring. Once it is placed, it will stay outside. I Ieave the big pieces outside once they are placed. LM

Anything metal I bring into the garden shed & any of those porcelain type welcome signs. Even the resin items go inside the shed. Rain gauges will go inside in mid November before the temps dip below freezing.

@Lilysmom. I was concerned it might be life size, visible from the street and you might start getting visits from the police concerned about reports of a body on your premises

Other than that, it's a very lovely piece personifying peace and serenity.

Still in leaf cleanup mode here. Will be for another 3 weeks. No such thing as done after one cleanup. LM

@JustJazzmom , my large metal pieces are clear coated to protect them from the weather. That is the only reason they are in the yard. I don't buy the large pieces unless they can take the weather. LM

@Lilysmom @Kachina624 ----the piece is very serene. I had DH measure me in that position, I measured just over 2feet, so I'm voting LIFE-SIZED. Good thing it will be in rear yard. Our eyes always behold beauty when we have the honor of viewing.------tedEbear

@Lilysmom -- After Kachina asked the size it just made sense to see what my proportions were in comparison. If it took 2 to place her, I probably weigh that much too.

@silkyk , she is adorable!!! I have one also. The issue I have with mine is that water sits on her fins as they are curved. In winter, I sit her on her side so it doesn't collect. LM
