I don't know how large your pot is, but my guess is that all six woujld be okay in a pot if you intend to discard them, or put in the ground, after this year. The idea behind "eight inches apart" is so they don't get too crowded after two or three years of growth.

I have 6 bulbs (3 different colors) and trying to decide where to plant them. Robertas show them in a pot but they say to plant 8 inches apart if planting in ground. Can I put all 6 bulbs into one large pot?

IMO, I would plant two bulbs per pot, six bulbs in one pot might be over-crowding them.
