Riley, it's so interresting how different CCs work in different ways in each person's hair.

Summer Mango Coconut (SMC) is fine for my hair but it just doesn't give me a lot of moisture.

I've been hoarding my Spring Orange Blossom (SOB) and Summer Honey Peach (SHP) becasue I love both scents. I know it's kind of silly, but that's just me. So I really don't have a good sense as to how moisturinzing they are for me.

I'm really hoping that the December TSV is still the (5) 16oz CCs and that they have both Seasonal as well as classic options. I really want to give FIG another try this winter and see how it works for my hair. One of the reasons I'm curious is that Mandarin Italian Fig (MIF) has been so great for my hair... and FIG is in the name.

I'm glad to hear that dry priming is working well for you!!

-- bebe priming dry hair with Wen Cleansing Conditioner

I missed the FTP last year as I started with Wen in Dec. My question is this: How moisturizing is this formula as compared to SOB, SHP (my hair does well with these) and SHL, SMC (not as moisturizing for my hair) - I want to save up for any purchases I might make! - TIA everyone

I have only tried FTP, SMC and SOB from your list and I can tell you that, in my opinion, FTP was very similar to SOB for me. I wouldn't really compare it to SMC although I loved that one as well so much so I ordered a whole thing of it. I also found FTP gave me the most shine out of the three. If you really like SOB, FTP is a close sister.

SHP is a little too much moisture for me in the hot humid Houston summers. But in the fall the humidity should be lower and that level of moisture would probably work better.

I Love FTP! It has a light pear scent and gives my hair a lot of shine. My hair seems to hold the wave after taking it out of a bun for longer with FTP than any other CC. I'd just started using WEN last fall so I was still concentrating on the Core formulas but I LOVE pears so I got the FTP CC Now I'm sad I did not get the kit. Do you think since Chaz is offering a FTP scent there may be a special kit at some point? That would be Wenderful! As far as comparing FTP to a core formula I think it may be closest to Fig for moisturising but not AS moisturizing as Fig. Fig adds a lot of thickness to my hair as in I can only do three wraps around of an "elastic"band in stead of the usual four go rounds. I ordered a TT and SAM TSV I'm holding off on a Fig tsv in hopes of a FTP special. HTH.

I found that FTP was moisturizing for me, but did not produce any frizz whatsoever. I have very fine and naturally curly hair. I don't wear it curly though, I blow it out straight. I can't wait to try it, but I'm going to hold out for Chaz to (hopefully) offer the trio of 16oz Seasonal CCs for around $72.

-- bebe

Hi bebe! Welcome back!

I almost passed on FTP based on the reviews that compared it to CA. I bought the 3 piece kit and my hair loved it. I bought 2 bottles on AD that same week.

As far as moisture, Bethany told us about Tea Tree. CA, I recently found out for myself how moisturizing it is.

FTP, CA and TT are not in the same category as Fig. I would say they are closer to SAM for moisture.

I haven't tried SMC and SHP wasn't impressive to me. I still have half of the 16 ounce bottle.

HonneyBrown, thanks for the welcome back!!

That's so interesting that you and Bethany found Tea Tree (TT) and Cucumber Aloe (CA) to be moisturizing. I like them but they don't give my hair a lot of additional moisture. -- I still can't use Sweet Almond Mint (SAM) because it weighs my hair down.

I've been using some Summer Mango Coconut (SMC) this summer and I didn't feel it was particularly moisturising, but I'm in the minority here. I still haven't give Summer Honey Peach (SHP) enough of a test drive to be sure about it.

The CC that has turned my world upside down though is the Mandarin Italian Fig (MIF). It gives me the perfect balance of controlled volume.

-- bebe

@bebe777 - I did not find the SMC moisturing either - The two that work well for me are the SOB & SHP. I got all 5 in last December's TSV. I also tried LAV & BGT - neither of those worked for me at all - very drying. In July I ordered a FIG and don't find it too heavy at all and very moisturizing. When I first used MIF I wasn't crazy about it, but now that my hair is healthier, I have done the "dry" priming and I'm very impressed with this CC
