Do you follow Chad's directions to the t? I do not. I use way less product. I have thin chin length hair. I no longer color. It is in good condition except for the thinning. (I hesitate to try the laser combs). I use about 2-3 Tbs. and I do wash twice. I do NOT use it when I am finished. Tried it and was so limp and next day needed to wash again. I rinse and rinse then towel dry. I air dry then finish up with my Calista comb or my round brush dryer. I use no other products. I also alternate every other day with Tweaked conditioning cleanser or Rise and Shine. Works for me.

I bought several 16 oz plastic squeeze bottles at the beauty supply store. I pump approx 6-8 oz of Wen into a bottle, add water almost to the top, and shake like mad. I find that diluting Wen by about 50% makes it SO much easier to work into my hair and makes the washing process so much faster.

Based on my experience with diluting Wen, I would never use it full strength again.

I pretty much follow the instructions given by Chaz. The only thing I change is the "splash" he suggests. I add more "splash" to get the product where it is easier to work into my hair.

I also use it as directed. The amounts WILL vary for everyone, based not only on length of hair, but also density. My hair is fine, straight, and just to my jawline, but not very dense, but i use five pumps from a 32 ounce bottle for the first cleanse, and four to five for the second. I ALWAYS use half a pump as a leave-in, and sometimes add a couple of pumps of the corresponding styling creme if I am going to heat style the next day.

@bargainsgirlYou mention you have thinning hair. Have you tried the Botanical Scalp Tonic? It has made a real difference for me, I have familial hair loss, and since I did not want to go bald like my maternal grandmother did, I decided to do something about it. My hairline has stopped receding and has come back to where it was in my youth, and both it and my part have filled in. I use it every night after I'm in for the evening, then when I shower before bed I cleanse it out. If you cleanse in the morning, you can sleep in it, the longer it's on your scalp the better. I also use a HairMax cap three times a week, but I think the WEN makes more of a difference, because, when the Q lost so much of it's WEN inventory last spring in that warehouse fire and I had to ration my tonic use, I saw backsliding on hair growth. I eventually ordered the tonic direct from Chaz and got back on track. So I can heartily recommend that scalp tonic.

My "splash" is running my head through the shower for maybe 2 seconds (not too long to wash it all out) to get it super frothy. Maybe the equivalent of cupping my hands and putting two hands full of water. I think not adding enough water is probably where a lot of people fall short.

I use it as instructed, maybe even more. I use tea tree and bamboo for first wash and 613 and Bellas for 2nd. Question, my hair/scalp gets greasy on the crown after few days. When I go to salon and they wash my hair, it doesn't get greasy nearly as fast. Any ideas? Thank you girls. I do use a good splash too.

I'll use the Blessings collection or 613 about once a month. And I ALWAYS use a leave in.

I consider my hair long - slightly below my shoulders. I use heat products only on Sunday now, otherwise I let it dry naturally.

I do it the way Chaz instructs. But let me tell you years ago I listened to say you needed to use the styling cream too. I was like I don’t blow dry my hair or use heated tools I don’t need to my hair is great. Well one night I caved and I couldn’t believe the difference it amped up my already great hair. From that day forward I said I will listen to Chaz the first time.

@LuvSoCal I've also had trouble with the spray nozzles on some of the bottles. The first time I did, I called Chaz's customer service phone number that's printed on all the bottles and asked them about it, and they took my address and mailed me a new one, which worked. Since I'm on auto-delivery, I get a new sprayer with every bottle and I have a few extra sprayers in reserve now, so if one stops working, I can replace it. As long as I've got a good sprayer, I just transfer it to a new bottle when one runs out. I never throw out a working spray nozzle, since it's possible I could get several duds in a row. So if this is your first bottle, contact Chaz's CS and I'm sure they'll send you a new one, and if you start seeing results, get on auto-delivery so you start building up a reserve of sprayers, so you don't have to worry if you do get a dud now and again. I wish Chaz would change the design so it would work better, but barring that, I'll settle for having a stash.

Oh, and I don't bother trying to get my hair wet with the tonic, I concentrate it on my scalp, since that's where I think it does the most good, I just spray it into my part and hairline and rub it in with my finger tips.
