They Heard Us!

Seems like QVCs ears perked up and they are leaving the blogs and forums open. Now, was it because so many left or because they really care.

Well my guess is $$ they might lose, but who knows...Seems a bit odd they would change a big decision like this, I guess we will see...

I think what happened here this week would make a great story for AARP.

AARP HAS 38 MILLION MEMBERS.

If you're an AARP member and agree, let the editors of the AARP Magazine and the AARP Bulletin know.

It's good PR for both the power of of older people and QVC's willingness to rethink a decision.

@riley1 @quadmimi As I read the message, it was more that they are keeping it open for now. I didn't get from that, that it will be permanent. I could be wrong.

@World Traveler - well if that is what they are thinking/doing, people will be pis*ed for sure. Don't burn us twice - that is definitely not nice! I did see they are still pushing people to their FB page. Not for me thanks.

Yes it could be they just think they will do this over more "time", I just don't see them changing there minds on this...

@riley1 I could be all wrong, but there was something about the wording that made me think it won't be the same. The words they used....expand, etc. Obviously, they saw all the threads about the OTHER PLACE.

I re-read it also....I don't think it will be forever, I think if anything they will restructure it very different from the way it is now, I wouldn't give up the new site just yet....

I hadn’t joined there yet - but just so you all know they made it private now - so nobody can see anything unless you joined.

I wonder if they can hear how very much I don’t like to see people I care about get jerked around, or to be jerked around myself. It was rude and disrespectful.

I agree, the wording is very obscure, they’re going to reach out to us in different ways? What, like a test panel? 🐠 🎣

I think it's more about this- they don't want us THERE more than they want us here. There's been a ton of negativity about QVC with all this. I think they're appeasing us temporarily, trying to keep everyone here, under QVC moderation. They screwed up royally.

I noticed that it was closed now too. I am glad it is private. May help to keep it from the riff-raff; and if the RR comes in, then they can quickly remove them.

However, do remember that pretty much anything anywhere on the internet can be copied and used elsewhere. In addressing your privacy concerns, we have changed the privacy settings of the individual Boards. Guests can no longer see or join in any of the Threads here. They can still see the Categories in the blue bars and the individual Board names below those categories, but they cannot see any of the Threads. If they click on a board it will go to a page that says Oops! Something went wrong. Below is a picture of what Guests will now be able to see. The entire page is not included, just the first couple of categories. If you click on the picture it will open up in a new window in a larger format.

I am wondering if their thought is since the busiest holiday is coming up that they thought it is better to keep them until after the holidays & then close them down in January. $$$$$

I recall that a few weeks before the board closing on Nov. 2 announcement, the moderators said that the boards were not going anywhere. I think that they will change their minds again, and permanently.

Yes, you are welcome to register and post, looking forward to seeing you.

The new board has simply become private, meaning the posts can only be read by other members who are also registered.
