WEN Monthly Chat - June 2021

Hi, everyone! Welcome to the biggest WEN month we have, even though he started at the end of month.

June 1 is my 6th year anniversary with WEN. Actually, I purchased the travel size of the classics the month prior, just to see which formula worked best with my hair before purchasing the gallons.

As many of you regular WENNERS suggested then, the best for my fine, thinning hair (at that time!) was Tea Tree and Lavender. But I also purchased a gallon of Fall Ginger Pumpkin and Winter Vanilla Mint. Yes, yes, yes, around $800 of WEN as a first-timer! Don't recommend it for everyone, but once I make a decision, I usually go all-in.

Used every bit of those four gallons over time, adding the various seasonals; but never stopped using the TT, GP, nor the VM. Still all favorites and staples in my arsenal of products from Chaz.

Still keeping my fingers crossed that he will do a trio of the Summer Mango Coconut, which I remember he did last year in July or August. And I want the trio tubes of the 613 body cream. I like having the tubes instead of the jars, as I keep a tube in my desk at work, in the car, and in my purse.

Thanks for starting the June thread. This is where I always come this time of year to keep up with the (hopefully) many show times and new offerings.

I'm hoping for a 613, although I use the 319 but the deals are always combined, UNIBT sale. I'm down to my last one-third jar. I don't use as much during the hot and humid summer weather, but that won't last me long. I quite honestly can't afford it at full price, so I like to stock up when there is a sale. 🤞

Other than that, I think I'm set for a while. I got my two gallons (FFree and WVM), with the Fragrance Free set to arrive tomorrow.

@World Traveler - Thank you for starting the June thread. I too am hoping for the SMC in 32 oz but I might cave and get the gallon by the end of June if it is still available.

I'm loving the Face exfoliator and would love to have a matching body exfoliator as well.

Will take another look at my stash to see if I need to replace/add any items.

I am not sure as everyone seems to smell the scents differently.

Maybe Summer Tropical Paradise?

Thanks for the feedback. I watched older presentations and that scent is described as fruit punch. I was looking for more "suntan lotion" vibes from the summer mango coconut. I have the cc and need to get styling cream and wanted it to be close.

I haven't used it for a while...I don't remember fruit punch scent (to me)..

It's hard to think of any that smell like SMC though...

Maybe @riley1 has an idea...if she see's this..

Wow, World Traveler, you DID buy a lot!!! The most I ever did was a gallon on auto delivery and got two but never two at a time! I get so many other Wen stuff though all the time. This August I'll be a 12 year Wen girl.

I love the new Botanical Dry Oil. It has not come to the Q yet but when it does I'll put it on auto. It's got a really nice smell, VERY subtle but I just love what it does to my hair, oh, I forgot, I got it on Chaz's site. I put it in before blowing out and use a lot and just let it stay in over night too. Makes my hair POP.

@stb13 - IMO there is only one SMC. This scent was the absolute beach scent. Tropical Paradise CC smells like an umbrella drink that you might have on that beach, lol.

If you are looking for something with a clean, fresh, vibrant scent try the Coconut Lime Verbena. I don't get much of the coconut smell but the Lime scent is so refreshing.

Thanks for the feedback. I TOTALLY agree there is only one summer mango coconut!! I might try the coconut lime verbena, hopefully it doesn't clash.

@stb13 - are you looking to combine the two? I will say that while the SMC is a more subtle scent, the CLV is a loud scent in that you know it has LIME & Verbena!

Summer mango coconut was the first summer seasonal and the only other SMC product Chaz created was the eau de Parfum which I actually still have from like seven years ago.

Maybe you would like the 319 styling creme as that is unscented.
