I should add though that I love the oils, and my favorite trick is to add several drops of oil to the RTM. Just be sure to shake it well before you spray since the oil will always separate and float to the top. There's nothing like oil to add shine, especially to dry ends.

I love the idea of Wen and the scents, but when I add a bit of CC as a leave-in, or add any other products like styling cream, my hair looks dull and dry, never shiny. I know I'm rinsing out all the CC when I wash. If I use no leave-ins at all, my hair does look shiny. My hair is extremely fine and shoulder length. Has anyone else found the same thing, especially with fine hair?

Are you adding the leave in to soaking wet hair? In the beginning, I didn’t do that, so my results weren’t great.

My hair became dry with 613 styling creme , just like the CC. When I changed to a seasonal styling creme, I had good results.

Yes, my hair is soaking, dripping wet when I add the CC as a leave-in. I also find that the mousse is sticky, and even the RTM feels a little sticky to me, although I use it anyway because I love the scents. And I only use the seasonals.

I notice that when I see the Wen girls in other presentations (after Chaz is gone), often their hair doesn't look especially shiny or moisturized. So I wish I could be there to see exactly what he uses on them for the Wen shows, especially Kate, who has fine hair too.

I’m sure I’ll be the lone exception to reply this way, but except for the Replenishing Treatment Mist—which I love—I don’t use any leave-ins. I didn’t find much difference in appearance or performance using or not. I also didn’t care for the feel of my hair with all that stuff left on. And my hair took a lot longer to dry with the extra products.

Yes, I used them correctly. And I tried several different formulas. I just tried the CC as a leave-in again after I heard Chaz going on and on about it this visit. Nope. Still don’t like it.

However, I don’t “style” my hair. I stick it all up on my head and the only other product I use is the Volumizing Treatment Spray on dry hair instead of hair spray.

I think you should use any product the way it works for you and however you’re happy with it.

LOng before there was WEN, my hair always looked better without any leave-ins. Even my favorite stylist never tried to sell me leave-in products becasue he felt the fewer products he used the better my hair looked.

I still occasionally use the replenishing spray on days I don't cleanse, but virtually no other leave-ins.

It took a long time for me to get into the habit of leave-in. I didn't see the point. But I kept being told I need to do that. Now it is just second nature to add it, and I find that my hair air-dries without any fizziness or fly-aways. It really is better for my fine hair if I add it.

I keep a 16-ounce bottle of Winter White Forest in the shower for my leave-in and pump out just a little bit for my very short hair, no matter what other scent I used for my second cleanse.

After about 10 years and trying many of the different WEN Formulas, I gave up! My hair always looked frazzled but this was so expensive I was determined to finish everyone I tried before I moved onto the next WEN Formula. My hair is dyed about every five weeks and is fine and thin.

About two years ago I started the curly girl method, and my hair has never looked better. You only clean with a conditioner, and there are some very specific rules but the pay off is spectacular. Even my hairdresser asks me every time to tell her exactly what I’m doing. Google it, and look at the before and after pictures.

well really Chaz is not asking one to buy any additional product you just are using the same CC. The styling cream - is a heat protectant - the oil is to treat the scalp. So choose whatever you want or nothing at all.

Combined with the other products it was just too much, even for my thick hair!

If I'm not going anywhere, though, I will add some CC as a leave-in, just for the extra conditioning.

I have fine hair and have found that my hair does better using a few sprays of RTM on my soaking wet hair as a leave-in, rather than CC. I also use styling creme (tea tree) because I blow dry, and mousse (319). Once my hair is dry and styled, I very lightly spray the crown with VTS (sweet almond) for hold.

@World Traveler wrote:

Me too, World Traveler! I always put in leave in, mousse and styling creme. I found that if I let my hair air out around an hour after my shower, hey that rhymes! oh boy...LOL anyway, I found that if I do that, then I blow dry, it only takes around ten minutes to dry it. I used to rough dry then go in with the round brush. Chaz says frizz is caused by what we're doing to our hair and I'm inclined to seriously believe that. My hair will go WILD if I don't control it so I blow dry but I use warm and cold air never hot. My hair is starting to go past my shoulders so it would take half hour but doing it after it just stayed in the air it only took ten minutes. My fingers could actually distinguish the very damp hair from the blow dried hair that way too which I always tried to do and never could. The leave in stuff creates that bounce and shine. My hair bounces from just riding in the car. DEEP luster too. Did you hear that caller named, Beth? She was a riot! She told Chaz that anyone that does not like Wen is not using it right and she, herself said at first she was not using it right. It took me a while too. I feel leave in stuff is essential. I just use whatever I cleansed with that day. Sometimes I mix in 613 and use that as my leave in. World Traveler, have you noticed Katies hair? She's the one that's the school teacher. She has long blonde hair. Around a year or so ago, I always thought, wow, I'm not too crazy about her ends but her hair is just okay. Enter Bella Cleansing Conditioner and Indigo. HER HAIR BLOSSOMED LIKE CRAZY! Now, I'm not a fan of blonde hair, I prefer dark hair but her texture is beyond amazing. It's like large strips of satin cloth and did it grow FAST.
