Does your hair feel rough or dry/brittle at all? If your hair feels rough or dry and tangles more easily, it could be a protein overload issue.

If you think that's the issue, I would hold off on using the seasonals and stick to the Pomfor a few months. A moisturizing deep conditioner will also help. WEN Remoist is fantasic, but it does have some protein. You can use that sparingly, but may want to try Shea Moisture's Manuka Honey Hair Masque. It's for moisture without protein and is available in some drugstores, Targets, Walmarts, and Ulta stores. I like to find it online at any of those websites, then use the site to see if it's in stock at a local store and go pick it up.

I have been using WEN for YEARS. My hair style / cut has not changed, diet, hair product whatever nothing has changed, I am getting older - 46, I DO NOT color my hair but it was past my bra line, had it trimmed and after my trim (she added a slight layer too) it knots up horrible then I called and told her she said maybe we didn't take enough off, so went in for another trip 3 weeks after, well that was about 8 weeks ago and even right after that trim my hair is tangling and I've NEVER had that issue before.

Seriously I can get it all brushed/combed out and just move around my house and go back and I have KNOTS in it, I'm really having a lot of breakage because of it and it's a hassle I am dealing with on a daily basis. It's napping up in the back, just awful, I am afraid I am going to have to go get it cut short for it to stop and I do NOT want to.

I am using my WEN daily - normally POM or a seasonal, I use the leave in treatment after and the styling cream, nothing is helping.

Suggestions? I just needed somewhere to put this out there in case someone can help me out. THANK YOU for listening.

I'm not good at all this hair style stuff. I mean I have long hair and I style my hair each day but for me it's easy maint. cause I've done it for years and this is the FIRST time I have dealt with tangles.

So, now to fix this..... I'm going to have to go shorter and let it regrow - DANG IT.... Yes I just yelled that, I really don't want to go shorter!!

Hi @SandGirl! I guess it could be the cut but I would try to make sure that your hair is hydrated enough too. I find that my hair tangles when it gets too dry. Always be sure to comb from the bottom up. I mean, begin combing from the ends to the roots. Hold the section you're combing and gently untangle. Use a wide tooth comb and never use brush on wet hair to detangle. I always use one whole pump of CC as leave in and one pump of styling creme and five pumps of mousse while hair is saturated. I found too that the dry oil is amazing. When my hair gets too dry, I spritz some on before blow drying and I have no tangles at all. Hope this helped!

You'll have to be really careful about avoiding anything that causes friction to the multi leveled ends now, so they can't be left to swing against each other.

All that frustrated brushing & combing to get the knots out will result in broken hair & split ends, that will tangle even more readily.

I get what you mean about having "many ends" now. Might be easier to pamper the ends with oils, RTM, & Remoist by bending and letting your hair hang forward. Give your ends a treat, then put your hair up.

I recently switched completely to t-shirt towels and these are incredibly gentle on my hair. It's a small thing but Chaz is right about these being best for hair. At least for mine. All the suggestions above are great and I just thought if you are not already using a t-shirt or pillow case instead of a terry towel this could help. Sorry you are having this trouble.
