Chaz’ Beloved Spencer has Cancer

We never know what each day holds in store for us.
Today, I got the news that Spencer has Hemangioma Cancer.
There is no form of treatment to help, heal or cure this type of Cancer.
He was given 1-2 months.
That is why I am reaching out for your Prayers for him to live out this Monster form of Cancer as chill and pain free as possible.
We Thank you for all your Love & Support..

So what species is Spencer? I don’t know anything about Chaz, so I don’t know much about his pet. Dog? Cat? What?

Spencer is one of four of Chaz Dean’s Labrador Retrievers. If you have watched any of the WEN shows, he is the black dog.

I am so sad for Chaz and Spencer.I went through that with my special girl too.It has been three years since she passed away but I am not over it yet.I made my own pet food from a recipe the vet provided and put turmeric capsules in the food.My girl lived for a couple of years before the cancer spread too much.She was 18 when she left us.

Thank you for the info. If I’m keeping an ailing animal and its owner in my thoughts, it’s helpful to have an idea what type of creature it is. So very sad to hear of Spencer’s grim diagnosis. I’m sure his passing will greatly affect Chaz and also the other dogs. Meanwhile, I hope he enjoys his life and gets lots of affection.

sorry to hear his dog has cancer I know it must be hard on him. my dog and a lumped removed and they said it might be cancer go see a cancer doctor? sorry but I love my pet very much but I just cannot afford that he is doing well today but if my dog is sick I would just put him down rather than see if suffer.

Wow! Didn't expect this this morning. So very sad to hear this. Poor Spennie following his sis Ella over the Rainbow Bridge so soon. Definitely will pray for him not to suffer and Chaz to know when the time is right. Thank you @geezerette for passing this on.

Hi, geezerette. Yeah, I saw the post on face book. It made me cry. I always worry about Spencer and Hunter because they're up in age. It's extremely painful to have this happen. Chaz's little angels are the most important thing to him, more than anything on this earth, I believe. Poor Chaz. Chaz, I love you unconditionally and I'll keep asking the Living God of the Bible to help Spencer. Try not to worry.

Oh no. Hemangiosarcoma is a blood cancer and it can spread extremely quickly. It can cause internal bleedouts. Sadly I'm all too familiar with it. So deeply sad.

I haven’t had any personal experience with it, thankfully. But a dear friend of mine just recently lost her twelve-year-old Greyhound to this. Awful.

More and more vets are starting to speak out about cancer in dogs and some feel it's at epidemic proportions. My little girl had a tumour removed from her mouth in the spring. It was diagnosed as fibrosarcoma by the lab at U of Colorado despite the attending vets originally thinking it was benigh. She had to have a partial mandiblelectomy (part of her jaw removed near the front) to get "clean margins" and she seems to be doing well, but it's always on my mind. The chance of recurrence or spread isn't huge, but it's still there. Plus I lost another doggy about 3 months after Chaz lost Ella, possibly to hemangiosarcoma. I'd never heard of it up to that point, but sadly now I know how widespread it is.

The one thing that has helped me with Naia mouth tumor was a book from a couple of vets who co-wrote the Dog Cancer Survival Guide. One vet is in Hawaii, Dr. Demian Dressler, and the other is a vet oncologist, I think in New York, Dr. Sue Ettinger. The book really helped me to understand the diagnosis and what I can do to try and help my doggy.

I sent the info to Chaz, although I'm sure he's getting more than enough unsoliciated info. Just felt like I needed to do something.

I have lost a dog to this cancer, it is indeed a monster. Depending on the location, it is either operable (spleen) or not (liver, aorta), and even if one does a splenectomy, the cancer has almost always already spread to satellite locations elsewhere in the abdomen. At least it is rarely painful, and when the tumor finally ruptures and the dog starts to bleed internally, they just feel weak and tired, lay down, and lose conciousness, and die. Now that is not a way I want to lose a dog, it's a complete shock if you don't know it's coming, and still horrible if you do know it's coming.

I will absolutely keep Spencer and Chaz in my strongest prayers for peace and comfort!
