I just got out of the shower and decided to remoist. It’s only lunchtime in my time zone, so I don’t plan to remoist overnight. If it were later in the evening I would. I’ve never done a mid-day remoist, so I’m curious for those of you who do, how long do you leave it in? I know Chaz says ~45 minutes, but how long do y’all leave it in?

Well, I always go overnight, but if you don't want to go that long, I'd just rinse it out before bed, then put in styling creme, etc., and let it air dry overnight, then style in the morning. I'd say the longer, the better, generally speaking.

I usually will rinse it out after an hour but have left it in for a couple hours. I really can't tell much difference when I leave it in longer than an hour. For me it seems a little easier to rinse out if I don't let my hair get completely dry.

I air-dry and it’s still a wee bit damp, but dry enough to judge. It feels just as soft & hydrated after a one-hour remoist session as it does after an over-night one. Truthfully, I’m not crazy about over-night Treatment because my scalp gets itchy. However, now that I have determined a one-hour session works just as great (without the itchiness), I will use it this way from now on. I do use it daily as my leave-in, too and love using it this way.

I have an oily scalp so if I cleanse and re-moist at night, by the time I have to rinse it out my scalp is starting to get oily again so it's kind of pointless for me to leave it in overnight. I'm not very good when it comes to remembering to use the re-moist so it mostly sits in my cabinet but if I finally do remember to use it, I'll leave it in for about an hour. Sometimes I just add some to my second cleanse.

The better question for me is "When am I not remoisting?" lol. I do it overnight no matter what time I applied it during the day and I also use it as a leave in. If I am doing a protective style like twists, I actually apply remoist, oil and styling cream to my wet hair while twisting. This gives me the softest hair when I take them down to cleanse.

@RipleyGirl, I get you. Even using it often I have plenty left, lol.

I've had remoist in for a weekend a few times 😜 my hair just sucks it up and it's actually ok looking LOL I think I will have to start adding it to my leave in again when it gets colder. I'll experiment though like @SurferWife and others have done and just leave it on for a few hours. I definitely have the supply!

i like the idea of using small amounts of Remoist & SC together as a leave-in after cleansing.

do u also add CC as a part of the leave-in process ?

I usually leave it in for about an hour. I prefer the hour vs. overnight.
