I know some of you ladie purchase wen on ebay. Are you happy with your purchases? Any problems with authenticity? Ebay has some good prices but I'm nervous to try it out. Can you recommend any sellers? Where do they get their products? Are they obsessed wen buyers like us? lol

I've made a lot of WEN purchases on ebay. I've bought CC, SC, oil, mousse, NBT, remoist, & recently a 5 pc lot of SHP. I have been satisfied with my purchases. Seems like the things you can consistantly get the best deals on are the remoist & SC.

I have no idea where they get their inventory, sometimes it's pretty obvious it's from QVC. But you need to know the subtle differences in packaging between Guthy Renker WEN & what is sold on chazdean.com & QVC. GR CC bottles are a little taller & slimmer & are sealed on the outside in plastic. I avoid all WEN on ebay that is wrapped in plastic. The GR remoist says "intensive hair treatment" instead of "hydrating hair mask"

We can't name sellers on here cuz QVC will delete the post. But looking at a sellers feedback will give you a good indication of their reputation. I search ebay several times a day for deals on CC, oil, remoist, & NBT, I sort by Time: Newly Listed, that's the best way to keep up with it. Ebays best match sort is useless for me. A good buy it now price usually goes quick.

thank you for the info. Is gunthy renker wen not as good? Why avoid it? The gunthy renker rtm in sam is pretty inexpensive. I wanted to try that. Have you tried the oil? There is a vendor that has great deals on the oil in 2oz sizes. I also have wanted to try out that vendor.

GR WEN is a little different formula. I guess I'm a bit of a WEN snob, I want Chaz's formulas. There may not be a lot of difference in performance, I really don't know.

I'm not a good one to ask about RTM, I only really like CLV & SHP in that.

You can sometimes get some great deals on oils, I have. I don't think there is a GR version of those.

I'm very happy with my eBay Wen purchases!

I listened to the reviews about FTP and thought it wasn't a good match for me. I bought the 3 piece kit from Q toward the end of the season and loved it. I immediately ordered 2 bottles on AD. Mr. Brownpants lost the first delivery and Q gave me a refund because they were out.

I ordered 2 bottles from eBay for a great price. Guy bought it for his girlfriend and they split by the time it came.

I also ordered TT Oil when it was waitlisted on Q. The lady I ordered from lost her hair to cancer, so she ordered a lot of bottles. She's in remission, so she didn't need the oil.

I bought it from her at cost and free shipping.

I ordered ReMoist and Styling Creams. People got them as part of kits and weren't interested in trying them.

I recently got a gallon of TT CC from the thrift store for $2! I chemically analyzed it and it was authentic.

Honny your gallon deal practically makes me weep! WOW! I'm curious, and you certainly do not have to tell me, but do you live in a major metropolitan area or something? I can't imagine finding a gallon of Wen locally.

Flea, all of the versions are Chaz's formulas, and the CCs work identically. Personally, I prefer the GR RM over the Q version.

GR doesn't carry the oils yet.

yis, I was in a thrift store looking for some jeans and knives. I ventured over to this one area that has unlabeled merchandise.

There were three 1-gallon bottles in the bin and one had a small area of Wen TT art work. I recognized it because it's my staple and I have 7 bottles in the bathroom.

The other two were unlabeled and bare, so I bought the one.

I did the analysis and it was TT! I went back to the store that HOUR and the other ones were gone.

TWO dollars! I have more than that in change in the bottom of my purse!!!! I'm still doing back flips!

Thanks for the info. And congrats on your TT gallon. I find great deals on stuff all the time but so far I haven't come across any WEN at yard sales, flea markets, or thrift stores but it's something I look for

Was that TT gallon thrift store find opened or sealed? How did you do a chemical test on it?I wonder, what CC was in two other, unmarked ones. What a find! It's simply amazing!

My Mom is a thrifter. She got an in season Chanel purse for $6. I don't have the patience. She scrounges thrift stores and sells her buys at consignment shops. That's her hobby, and it supplements her retirement income quite nicely.

When I found the Wen and the new Lucky Brand jeans for $1, I went home and called her. She was just as ecstatic as I was!

sonechko, it was open which was why I analyzed it.

I did SG and GC/MS.

The other two had no label at all. They could have been motor oil.

The packaging on the Guthy Renker is not the only differnece. The ingredients are also different. I bought the Guthy Renker WWC on EBay & it had several ingredients not in it that are in the WWC from Wen & Q. I could tell a differnece when I used it. I won't buy anymore GR products. I have since stopped using Wen because my scalp was getting oilier instead of balanced out like I thought it would with use. I used it for 5 months but could not stand the oil so I stopped. My hair has thinned quite a bit. I blame it on being hypothyroid, menopause & age. I started using Andalou Age Defying shampoo & conditioner for thinning hair & my hair looks so much better. My scalp oil has finally calmed down. I will have to fit Wen in my routine to use it all up. Costs too much to throw away.

We know for a fact that there has been fake Wen sold on both ebay and Amazon. This was confirmed by Chaz.

I wanted to tell you that the same seller has 4oz SHP oils for $20 and $5 shipping. 6 oz mists also, same price. I bought 5 oils, and they're PERFECT. She wanted to avoid the bay and have people message her via that address in your paypal account...I STUMBLED on this one. I wanted to wait until I got them before I spread the word. AMAZING!

Be careful. I purchased "brand new" Wen products from a high volume seller recently. When I received it, I noticed it was 5 years old.
