Wen Hairspray question - problem

I ordered the TSV to get the Wen Hairspray and have had it for a couple of weeks. Not a fan of the scent ... but the biggest issue I'm having is that it no longer sprays out a fine mist, it just sort of dribbles down the side of the can. I need some advice on how to get this to work again.

What I have done so far: I do shake can before each use. I have run warm/hot water over the nozzle to clean it off. I do not detect any residue over the nozzle hole. And yes ... I have the nozzle in the open position.

Any of you Wen experts have any tips? I would prefer not to cancel my auto ship on the TSV ... but if the hairspray won't work for me ... well then poo.

I don't use Wen hairspray, but I usually take the knob off and soak it in a glass of hot water.

Not sure if you CAN take off this top/nozzle. I will try to see if it comes off but there is a top/cap over the nozzle. Not sure if the whole mechanism unscrews or not.

@kate2357 I would contact the Q customer service & let them know..also Chaz's site if the Q can't help...I have the same kit and mine works fine..It sounds like it might of lost pressure in the can..Hopefullly if so they can help you out..

@kate2357, rather than tamper with the sprayer, I'd email customerservice@chazdean.com or call the number on every Wen item.

Thank you for your advice. I will try calling on Monday to the number on the can of Hairspray. When it worked ... it did great job of holding the style ...especially my bangs. I didn't get the dreaded bang droop.

Has happened to me ???? times over the years. Hairspray is sticky - that's what holds your hair in the wind. Honey in a spray can would do it too. Spray hair spray on a fly - and he can't fly anymore. So....follow poster's advise and soak the spray nozzle in hot water. If that doesn't work - you are pretty much out of luck with that can. I've thrown away my share of full H S cans. Sorry

I've actually advised friends who had a fly, bee, mosquito, spider ... whatever ... to spray the offending bug w/ hairspray as it's a handy way to knock down the offending insect.

So yeah, I know it's sticky. I have put it in hot water. Was curious if it was a problem w/ the Wen spray or if I just got a bum can. I'm just perturbed it doesn't work.

I'm a frugal spender. (As in, I don't mind spending money for stuff, but I like a *deal* and I like for the bloomin' thing to you know, work as advertised).

I just finished my first can of hairspray with no problems 😊. Have you tried using a pin to clear any residue out of the nozzle? That is the only other suggestion I can think of and have done that with other hair sprays.

@kate2357 just a FYI. I'm pretty sure they are closed on Monday because they are a salon😁 they are open tomorrow and I bet they can help. I love Chaz's CS. I hope they have a solution! Please let us know what happens!

I've heard this before that spraying flying things stops them from flying. I blasted flies with kitchen counter top cleanser, I mean BLASTED and they just laugh at it. Spiders, well, all you have to do is look crooked at them and they fall apart. Get this.....I'm cooking meat balls in a pan and the counter is right nex to the stove, okay, I have to tongs in my hand turning them...all of a sudden this huge spider comes running towards me and the end of the counter and just falls off, the tongs go flying, I'm screaming AAAGGGHHHH!!! Then I collect my thoughts and realize I cannot run away because my meat balls will burn so I keep a close watch out, then I see him trying to climb up my kitchen trash can, just a teensy spritz of cleanser and he was gone. Flies are another thing, I always see them by our living room window in the summer and I could spray them with an H bomb and they keep right on going. I don't get it. I don't want to waste...wait a minute....I'm gonna buy cheap hair spray and try that!!! Hey, thanks guys for the idea!!! Oh, this was off topic but I hope the poor poster that had the defective can gets help. I would call QVC and tell them what happened, I'm sure they will make good.

I have this issue with VTS. I just run it under hot water, scrape the spray opening or use a pin as suggested.

I have'nt had t his happen with the hair spray yet, but I assume it will be the same solution.
