I know a Wen user posted a year or two ago about how great their hair is with the occasional shampoo so I figured I'd try it since I hadn't used shampoo in a few years. OMgosh talk about terrible. I forgot how dried out and rough shampoo makes my hair feel. I won't be repeating that mistake. My hair wasn't better either. I've posted many times I don't have issues with build up with Wen so I should have ignored the post.

Okay, it has been quite some time since I posted here, but I had to share my experience. I have been using Wen for the past four years, and I thought maybe I should try some of the new "milder" shampoos. I ordered a set of shampoo and conditioner that was touted as "so gentle, you may not need the conditioner." Dear lord! I forgot how awful shampoo feels in my hair; it was like a glob of wet straw! I managed to get the offending mess out of my hair and applied the "conditioner." My hair is not happy. Now I know why Chaz never shampoos his models anymore! Lesson learned...

My daughter tried a Carol's Daughter shampoo at school and told me how she immediately had to put Wen in her hair because she hated the "dried out" feeling. She kept saying "never again!" and she loves her Wen. LOL!! My daughter is only 19 but she knows and appreciates what Chaz has created.

All I could do was laugh.

Between my two girls and hubby, there could never be enough Wen around here. Although my oldest has graduated and moved away so I may have to start shipping her portion to her.

So funny, I have been tempted lately too. There is even some brand with a new "system" where you condition first then shampoo.

But I haven't been willing to buy two big bottles of something - particularly since my hubby is a Phil 3in1 fan for his shampoo (he doesn't have a lot of hair, so it's washing his scalp as much as his hair).

Now maybe if I could find a sample....that might really push me to try, but all in all, I love what wen does for my hair.

Michele

I have been using Wen for the past four years, and I thought maybe I should try some of the new "milder" shampoos. I ordered a set of shampoo and conditioner that was touted as "so gentle, you may not need the conditioner." Dear lord! I forgot how awful shampoo feels in my hair; it was like a glob of wet straw! I managed to get the offending mess out of my hair and applied the "conditioner." My hair is not happy. Now I know why Chaz never shampoos his models anymore! Lesson learned...

I had my hair cut a couple of weeks ago as a last minute emergency and I didn't have my WEN with me. When she was shampooing me, I felt the same way as you did, that she was rubbing straw on my head. I wanted to die.

I literally came home, ran upstairs and poured oil on my head to undo what I had done. Ugh.

Skinn's I sent back, though it was not bad product at all, just WEN was so much better for me.

But Isomers Hair Kit I kept. Just in case. Well this case came about now - the water in my new place is HARD! My WEN cleansings turn out bad hair, because of this water.

Yesterday I HAD to cleanse first with Isomers shampoo, second with WEN - not bad results! Until I figure out how to filter my water correctly, looks like it may be the way to go for me for now, if I have to.

@sonechko. Our new Culligan filter is doing great..i can tell a huge difference.. we got it on Amazon... I have had to do the shampoo thing at times before, but then my scalp couldnt take dryness.. but i still do the best with Wen kids on the scalp & other CC's for the rest..

I have got to try that WEN kids! Hear good things about it all the time.
