Wen - how does 319 CC compare to 613 CC?

I still haven't tried my 319 CC, but @HSB1204 has been very gently doing some arm twisting and so I'll finally be trying in in about a week (I want to try 613 CC first, so that I can make a good comparison.

From what I've read, it sounds as though the they each give different results for the hair, and the ingredients decks for each of them are different.

Since it's been a few months since the March TSV, I'm guessing that a lot of Wenners have gotten a chance to use it, so I'm curious to know how people feel that the 319 and 613 CCs compare to each other.

For me, I do like 319 better, but mostly because it's unscented. 613 is ok, but I sometimes react to it, so I usually mix it with something. As far as results I get similar results.

For me, these 2 CCs are nothing alike. 613 leaves my hair dry and tangly. 319 leaves my hair soft, moisturized, and voluminous. I have only used 319 twice but so far the results are great--similar to PJP, but with more moisture. HTH

@BExplorer- I couldn't agree with you more! I struggled with 613 for so long. I couldn't use more than a quarter in my CC or I would end up with a mess. I also wS not a fan of the scent. I am so glad that I got the last TSV in 319. It is amazing on my hair.

it has a much lighter consistency that the 613 and when I mix it with my CC it makes my hair into silk. I will never be without it. It's a bonus that it doesn't interfere with whatever seasonal I am using.

i have wavy color treated hair not think or thin but my hair is quite porous- it doesn't like to hold on to moisture so it can seem almost rough but the 319 helps it to hold on to the moisture better (I add oil to my second cleanse and leave in.)

@kesstrain I love the 613 scent so initially ordered that in the most recent TSV knowing I would use most of the CC as body wash but wanted the NBT. Then I read all the reviews stating how different 319 was from 613, and changed my second shipment to 319. I am so glad I gave it a try! Now if I could only get 319 CC with 613 NBT in the final shipment...😄

@BExplorer I have been using Wen for soooo long. I was actually trying to figure out exactly- I do remember having gallons in either 2006 or 2007- so basically from when Chaz first came to the Q.

I still don't really understand why my hair didn't do well with 613. I generally do well with protein (I only use seasonals on my hair). In fact, the only other real fail I have had with Wen was trying to use the remoist as a leave in- it swelled up my hair so much that I looked like a puff ball. I also find it strange that the 319 has such a different effect from the 613. even though I prefer certain formulas, I have never had my hair turn out terrible with any Wen formula besides 613. Go figure!

I'll go with what my hair twin @BExplorer said because that's exactly how 613 and 319 work for my hair.

I gotta change my vote.

I haven't had a need to use 613 in awhile. But today I used 319 by itself instead of mixed with the ff rice for my first cleanse and wvm for my second. Even after just one cleanse my hair was so soft and silky! And I can never get away with only one cleanse but today I could have!

For me - 613 dries my hair out. I have a couple 32 oz bottles of it that I"m slowly using up - I use it for the first cleanse about once a week just trying to use it up. If I use it any more than that I end up getting dry split ends and my hair frizzes. Not only that but I have a hard time with the scent...for me it's just way too strong. I recently ordered the 319 TSV and got it on auto delivery. I had not used the 319 before this. I'm so glad I got it. They are completely different. While the 319 is fragrance free there is a light scent to it and I love it...it doesn't last all day which is kind of a bummer but I can live with that. It doesn't dry my hair like the 613 does either. The first 2 times I used it I used it for both cleanses. I have natural curly/wavy hair that I normally blow dry straight, but in the warmer months I ditch the blow dryer (too hot for that!!) and let my hair air dry. My curls/waves seem so much more defined with this cc than with any other I'd used before and I've been using WEN exclusively for 5 years now. I can only hope that this comes out in a gallon...I really like it.

Using me as an example... I'm going with the 613 formula because I've had the 613 Oil on my wishlist for over a year and this kit gives a reasonably good value for it. -- Even if the 319 CC turned out to be bettter for my hair, I would still use the 613 CC periodically because I love the scent.

I've already said everything I had to say on 319 vs. 613 on other threads. If my first bottle of 613 lasted me a year and half, my 319 large bottle is at the bottom, and I can't wait to open another one! Totally looking forward to using 319 Mousse and Volumizing too.

I got 319 at first mostly because it's unscented, but now I see - these 2 CCs are nothing alike! I do like the fragrance of 613 though, but no biggy! I can always spray 613 NBT on myself to get a whiff of it, when I miss it! No problem!

@jazzbabe, that option is usually available. If you can, make the modification after your receive your first shipment. -- That way they'll be better able to make sure they have enough of the 319 for everyone for the second shipment. That's what I always do.
