I use a fine tooth comb to clean the hair from my brushes. I haven't really needed to wash them.

I purchased the ODO trio with mousse, SC and brush! But I had a little hesitation about the purchase due to the brush.

I like the look of the brush, I love the way Chaz describes it and demos it, but how do you clean a wooden-handled brush? With my other hair brushes, I clean them by soaking them in a tub of warm, soapy water every so often. Can I do the same with the WEN wooden handled brush? Or is there another way to clean it?

I use my round barreled brushes to style my hair with products and such that can build up on the brushes, so I need to be able to clean my hair brushes. I've soaked other (painted) wood handled brushes and the enamel starts to chip off over time, so I avoid wooden brushes now.

I ruined my first WEN brush by letting it soak in hot water. After about six months of this, and packing it too tight in my Freedom cosmetic bag, it just sort of caved in. My guess is that the wood had been weakened by my abuse. Since then I've been swishing it in warm soapy water, rinsing, then gently using a clean washcloth to dry the handle and blot the bristle portion. My brushes have held up nicely this way.
