2024-2025 NHL season, all are welcome

Welcome to the 2024/2025 hockey season!

I hope to share this season with you. Please post about your team. As in all the previous seasons, we keep it friendly and respectful. Feel free to post positively about your team!

What team do you root for? I am a die hard NY Rangers fan, since the early/mid 70s.

I also root for my home state team, the NJ Devils, as long as they are not playing the Rangers. My husband and adult son are also Devils fans.

Please join in and post about your team, including scores, news, and newspaper articles.

Today, the Devils play the Sabres, 1:00 eastern, NHL network.

They are playing at the O2 arena in Prague.

My Wild start the 10th at home against the Blue Jackets, which will be really sad for obvious reasons, I hope the tribute for Johnny and Matthew is nice. It will be against our former coach who is with the Blue Jackets now, so for that reason I want the win, if the Blue Jackets win I'm OK with it, just this one time though.

I'm watching the Devils and Sabres. They did a lovely tribute to both men.

I wish your Wild all the luck...until they play the Rangers. lol

I'm looking forward to next week's start of the rest of the teams.

Devils looked good yesterday in their first game. Their new goalie, Markstrom, looked good, too.

The Sabres coach is last year's Devils coach.

They had 13 seconds of silence for the Gaudreau brothers.

Today, their game is at 10am eastern, on NHL network for out of area viewers.

The Blues, Panthers and Utah won last night.

The Panthers raised the SC banner and showed off their rings.

Okay Rangers fans, tonight is the home opener against Utah! Both teams are undefeated. I enjoy the opening season festivities. Yes, of course, I'm wearing my #7 Gilbert jersey!

Devils home opener did not go well for them. Tonight, they face the Caps in DC. I hope it goes better for them tonight.

Can someone explain to me why there was a double standard for goalie interference last night? Rhetorical question, don't bother answering. lol lol

Rangers lost in OT. The lead went back and forth all night.

The D MUST be better going forward.

So my guys won the first game against the Blue Jackets, then lost in a SO against the Kraken, then lost in OT against the jets.

I heard someone on the Wild saw a unicorn, ya know you hear about these things but never think it will happen in real life and I'm not sure if it really happened without seeing it myself. Apparently a ref APOLOGIZED to Brodin for making a wrong call and costing us a goal in the loss with the Kraken. LOL. Not only that, they didn't stop the game when Eriksson Ek got hit, blood running down his face behind the goal. He broke his nose but will be back Tuesday in St. Louis.

We are not at home until NOVEMBER.
